Daisy Ridley is doing her press tour promoting her new film Ophelia, and with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker less than six months away, the final installment in the Skywalker saga will inevitably come up in each of her interviews. Ridley spoke to Good Morning America briefly about Episode IX, but also later confirmed to BuzzfeedNews that despite a recent rumor, she has absolutely no involvement in Rian Johnson's new trilogy.

Daisy's first stop was Good Morning America where she spoke briefly about The Rise of Skywalker, even using J.J. Abrams' favorite buzzword of late, saying fans will leave the saga feeling 'satisfied.' Lacey Gilleran of The Resistance Broadcast has transcribed the Star Wars portion of Ridley's GMA interview:

Here are a couple of video clips from Ridley's interview from Good Morning America:

As we mentioned at the top, Daisy Ridley also debunked a recent rumor about her future involvement in upcoming Star Wars projects. Ridley was asked about her involvement in Rian Johnson's upcoming new trilogy of films, to which she made it clear she has no involvement it, and that it is a completely separate story. Thank you to our friend Sleemo, which is where we initially saw this confirmation from Ridley.

Our writer and co-lead editor Jordan Pate has transcribed the portion of Ridley's interview with BuzzFeed where she dismisses the rumor about her involvement in Rian Johnson's trilogy:

One theme we will hear consistently over the next six months from the actors and crew of The Rise of Skywalker is the emotional impact it has had on them, from the film itself, to the fact that this is the end of this saga.

It was also satisfying to hear Daisy Ridley swiftly debunking a recent rumor which alleged she will be involved with Rian Johnson's announced new trilogy of Star Wars films. For now it appears Episode IX will be Daisy Ridley's final Star Wars film, but I am not ready to believe we won't see her as Rey again in the future, as I feel her story is just getting started.
