News on Dark Horse Comics returning to printing Star Wars stories this year broke in late 2021, and now more details may have been revealed. A new omnibus compiling issues #1 to #35, #37, and #39 of Star Wars: Rebels Magazine, as well as #1 to #4 of Star Wars: Rebels Animation Magazine, is already available to pre-order from the aforementioned comic house. It will be released on July 6th, 2022.

Star Wars: Rebels Magazine was published in the U.S. by Titan Magazines, Panini in Germany, and Egmont UK Ltd. in the U.K. However, publication in the U.S. stopped as of October 20, 2016. That didn't happen in Germany, where the magazine continued to print issues until December 20, 2017, and was then followed up by Star Wars: Rebels Animation Magazine. This means that the new omnibus coming from Dark Horse Comics will be the first time some of the issues mentioned above are printed in the U.S (issue #26 and onwards).

This is the second project we learn that Dark Horse is involved with, after it was recently revealed that the comic house will also be working on Claudia Gray's The Quest of the Jedi, an upcoming comic-book to be released as part of Phase II of the High Republic publishing campaign. The initial announcement mentioned that they would begin printing Star Wars comics during the spring of 2022. We don't know if there are other projects in the pipeline coming before the omnibus.

Dark Horse CEO Mike Richardson told Screen Rant the following back in November 2021, when the announcement was made:

We will keep you posted as more news are revealed on the matter.
