    Agreed on JJ.

Looking for more information on the "Book of Sith", I discovered you can buy it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1612182615?pc_redir=1412598241&robot_redir=1

It's interesting that it was published around the same time of the Plagueis novel. Think there's any substance to that?

Interesting that the book was discovered by Luke and only seen by Leia and Mara Jade according to the description. As Echo-07 mentioned in his story Hasbro was directed not to make any EU figures outside of Plagueis and Mara Jade.

It's particularly interesting a lot of things released before the Disney sale were things that were directly influenced off of George. Not sure about this particular novel but, wouldn't surprise me.

Unfortunately the Book of Sith, Path of the Jedi, Imperial Handbook, and Bounty Hunter Code are all considered non-cannon.

[QUOTE I can... a lot easier than a resurrected clone Palpatine or someone frozen since Ep III

The forest scene seems to have been stormtroopers fighting against some really big, and really little, enemies... I doubt those were Alliance forces... as I have said before, I think there will be an outside force that threatens them both, and causes them to unite, which may not sit well with some of our heroes...[/QUOTE]

I think you're on to something here, TIDMADT. I hadn't considered the possibility of the Rebel Alliance partnering up with remnants of the Empire to fight an even bigger foe. Sounds epic...

Ha! I'm a huge LOST fan too! Watched every episode as they aired from beginning to end, and still a card carrying member at Lostpedia.

Ahhhh lostpedia. So many memories. I have been a huge JJ fan since lost and Cloverfield. The movie wasn't brilliant but it was fun, a new twist on an old favorite, and I loved the ARG before it's release.

Cloverfield was fun, even if I've had it with found footage movies. I really liked the two Star Trek movies he directed and Super 8.

LOST was by thing though. Goddamn I miss that show...

It is a plot-line that has potential... what if Han and Leia believe that the best path would be partnering with remnant forces and Luke disagrees... or, reverse... Luke decides the best hope is for the Jedi to back the remnants against the threat, and Han disagrees...

There has been speculation that Daisy goes in search of Luke to combat this evil, and finds that Luke is the evil... what if Luke became aware of the threat, had to venture into remnant territory to investigate, and winds up aiding them in battle... the legend grows of this badass helping the remnant...

Luke wouldn't be evil per se... but it could appear that way to his old friends...

There was a very clear show of love for Star Wars on LOST. They made references throughout the show (my favorite was Hurley wanting to write the script for Empire Strikes back for Lucas). Hell, look at the cast of main characters:

    Jack: Luke
    Kate: Leia
    Sawyer: Han
    Hurley: Chewbacca
    Locke: Obi-Wan.

It sounds silly, but think about those characters and their roles on the show and how they react to each other and other characters.

NEver thought of it in those terms, but it is a fair analogy...

The stuff Kyle posted supports this return of the Ancient Sith theme, which I suppose contradicts my third order theory to an extent.

In regards to the attack of the wickerman from MSW, I like TIDMADT's theory of the Empire and the Republic having to join together to fight these fellows off. Could they be directly related to this return of Ancient Sith?

Here's an interesting quote from the book from Palpatine to Anakin.

"A tragedy, really, for one so wise. One who could oversee the lives and deaths of all beings, except himself."

What if he could? What if he didn't teach Sidious everything he knew? Because, we know he's different then most Sith.

I also just thought of something and how it applies to whether Anakin is the "Choose One" if the Sith are to return. The answer is yes. He brought balance. The trick though is the force can go in and out of balance as it pleases. So one side can't be in control for too long.

You are one of those who subscribe to the concept of "balance" meaning "equal on both sides"

The canon states that "balance" was a state which existed in nature, and was practiced by the light

The Sith aren't the same as the dark side. There may be a corrupting influence of the force but it isn't the same as the Sith philosophy.

The Jedi believe in flowing with the currents of the force, like floating down a river. Sith on the other hand actively bend and exploit the force going against the flow, they're building dams and redirecting the flow.

I have a theory that the force fights back against the Sith and that it damages their body to do so. The force also actively works against the Sith, trying to free itself of it's influence. There is a theory that the force conceived Anakin in order to stop the manipulations that Plageuis and Palpatine were doing.
