Darth Plagueis In The Sequel Trilogy.

Snoke isn't plagueis because if he truly was they would have called him plagueis.

But it seems like Snoke probably knew Plagueis and Sidious both. My theory is Plagueis or Sidious (or both) tried to kill snoke and thought they succeeded when in reality snoke faked his death and escaped to the Unknown regions

 

my theory is that not even JJ, much less Rian knows anything about Snoke besides what we saw in the movies so right now he is an emty nothing till some hired writer invent some backstory

 

I’d be ok if Snoke had Plaguis or Palpatine in him as in possessed. It was Plagiuis goal to become immortal. If he did not achieve it then I would be ok if his apprentice Palpatine did. Light Jedi get to continue as Force ghosts. I’d like to see Dark Force users be able to love live on by use of dark side to posses a cadaver. Snoke was Snack me but he died and either Plaiguis or Palpatine learned to use the dark side to have his natural body die but posses a Force strong corpse. So...Snoke was a dead dark side user who either Palpatine or Plaiguis moved into when their natural body died.

That could explain why they want a Skywalker so badly. If Palpatine could have killed Anakin before OB1 messed him up, Palpatine would be love vine in Anakin with all his Force powers. Anakin himself would be really dead.

 

I guarantee you there's some type of outline for Snoke and who he is and what he came from. Whether or not RJ understood JJ's character set-ups or not -- there's no way that Disney doesn't have a backstory for Snoke. What is the exact backstory -- that's what I wanna know

 

Rian and Andy Serkis talked about and know Snoke's backstory. A backstory is mainly good for the actor and writer to form a character. It's not necessarily needed to show on screen though.

 

it's all just rumours but there are some going around that snoke backstory could be in Ep9, with kylo. potentially he will be revealed as a Sith then come back in the present as some type of Darth Plagueis dark side spirit. we could even see Yoda and presumably Luke join the battle!

the only way you save the ST is some type of climax with a darksider more scary/powerful than Kylo, in my eyes. obviously DP ties all the trilogies together, as JJ said it would in some way.

 

In light of recent revelations, maybe Plagueis was learning about the Whills?

 

maybe the unknown regions are where the anti-whills hail? like dark matter and light matter, maybe there's an opposite and that powers the dark side? just spit balling!

Lucas recently said that the midichlorians are closely tied to the Whills, and we know that Plagueis was an expert on midichlorians.

I doubt this would happen, but I wouldn't mind if Plagueis was the big bad throughout the films. He took over his apprentice's body when he tried to kill him, so Palaptine is basically him in human form. Snoke again was him and Rey was created in that installation in Jakku for him to take over. Surprise us with Rey turning to the dark side (taken over by Plagueis) and Kylo having to save the galaxy from her (giving his life for hers). It would be such a turn around to have the FO not be the villains.

 

I hope there won’t be any new - in the context of the ST - big villain.

That said, I also hope IX will give closure to all the Skywalker saga,
And from this pov, I’d welcome a final answer about the actual circumstances of Anakin
birth.
Because sure... we can believe and accept the virgin birth by the force will only,
But if so... that scene of ep. III will always be open to interpretations.

And that’s the only thing that makes the character interesting to me not per se but in regards of Ep. IX.
But there’s not need to have him still alive.

They may address that issue once again, even briefly, thus Plagueis role, and
make it feel organic to whatever the main plot of IX is going to be.
It’s not impossible and it’s not impossible to make it understandable the new audience
without going to much into details. You just have to find the right way.
That will be more than fine for me.

I tend to agree. TLJ missed the chance to follow-up from TFA IMO and expand and explain. Kylo is now the big villain, but he's a bit lacking IMO, hence the Saga needs that something extra now in order to link together.

 

I’m calling it.

Snoke was Plagueis. Kylo Ren has killed him - he isn’t coming back. However, it will be revealed (flashback) that Snoke resurrected the fallen Jedi who aided Kylo Ren in destroying the Jedi temple. They were reborn as the KOR and Snoke’s true identity is the revealed.
