It would be really interesting if Ezra joined up with the KOR and The KOR are similar to Neo-Nazis like not being ACTUAL Sith but model themselves after the order ...

I disagree, if there is a connection between Reven and Ren... there ism ore likely to be a V'ger thing going on.

That's just how rebels is set up, they use mcquarrie's concept art which includes skinny lasers. Even kanan's lightsaber is thin.

It definitely seems like events mentioned in KotOR are being confirmed in a "broad strokes" way. Pre Vizsla mentioned that the Darksaber was taken from the Jedi during some Mandalorian sack of the Jedi Temple, which could reference the Mandalorian War or the Great Galactic War. The Scourge of Malachor sounds like the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator. It wouldn't surprise me if the Story Group decides to streamline all of this into a single narrative, with Malachor being the site of the final battle between the Jedi and Sith- or, to borrow from Bane's story, where Bane tricked the Sith into wiping themselves out.

That's pretty much the feeling that I'm getting as well. I think that it's a good way to keep the basics and introduce them to the more general public without needing them to know several decades of Legends material.

My only disappointment is that it seem so Ike's to would redeuce the probability of a seeing Revan as his story would be overshadowed in such a circumstance by Bane's I feel as Bane is more important to the larger story.

I could see Disney deciding to do a "stand-alone" trilogy set during the Old Republic Era that borrowed from Revan's story, or maybe a Netflix series. Maybe Revan could still be a Jedi-turned-Sith-turned-Jedi, but tie him more to Bane's story. Maybe have Bane take Malak's place and survive the fall of the Sith Order?

Hmm... I hadn't thought about Bane subsuming some of Malak's story. That could probably work pretty well.

I still think though that in lore it might detract a bit from the legend of Revan. Revan and Bane were (in universe) both Legendary Sith. The problem would be that Bane is much more so and Revan would be "that guy that trained Bane".

    I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking it... :p

I still think most of the Old Republic characters will be Canonized, with the stories perhaps getting altered, after all, they are legends. There is no need to combine the stories of Revan and Bane because this history is literally thousands, upon thousands of years old. it is so old they have largely forgotten it. I would expect Revan and later Exar Kun to be canonized. Exar, minus the new republic story.

Placing the stories of Bane and Revan together could work, but I agree it marginalizes Revan, and that is a mistake.

Its curious to think how much of the Kotor stories will be reinstated under the new canon. For me, the most exciting aspect of the new Rebels episode was to see how much of Kotor would be made canon. Tbh I was expecting more, however there is encouraging signs that at least some of it will remain. The Sith Holocron and its plan to wipe out 'all life' sounds very Darth Trayaish, however the voice is off. Surely Disney could have rehired the same voice actor for Kreia, assuming that it even is her holocron?

Another point to consider is this even the same Malachor as Kotor, it looks completely different, bare in mind the planet from the old games was referred to as Malachor V, not just Malachor. The mummified corpses outside the temple look very much like they were caused by a mass shadow generator, however a direct attack by jedi on the sith temple does indeed conflict with the old canon. For me, the latest episode did not answer any of the questions like I expected it too, instead it raised so many questions.

Personally, after watching this new episode, I believe the Darth Revan story will be quite different to the one we recognise if he is introduced into the new canon. I will be disappointed if the new canon dilutes Kotor, its the only thing about the Legends that I really cared about. The stories I think should not be messed with and whatever new Disney comes up with that is based on Kotor, the fans will be like, we preferred it the way it was.

I'm a little late to the party, but due to the popularity of Revan, I think it is a possibility. Especially with the Thrawn announcement at Celebration this past week.

A Revan vs. Thrawn starfleet battle would be epic.

I really, really, really hope so. Not as a character, obviously. Just a small cameo (ehrm, sith holocron...).
