    The Clone wars and three movies just does not support the concept of a really evil Darth Vader. Anakin's turning was so poorly done, it hard to believe that I will throw away a lifetime of devotion to the Jedi in 10 minutes. He really did not need to hurt Windu to stop him from killing Sidious.

    Vader being in this movie only makes sense. He would of been the central charachter involved. he and Tarkin both should lead the Empire in there defense and pursuit. I would love seeing Vader and Tarkin interogating prisoners trying to determine what happened to the plans. I want to see Vader force choke whoever he holds responsible for letting the plans be stolen in the first place. Would also think it woudl be a natural at some point to see him give a report to the Emperor through a hologram transmission on whats going on.

    The entire point of turning so quickly was because it was to show how naïve and desperate Anakin Skywalker was. He didn't know any better and he never really had any discipline as. She'd I. Everything he did was out of pure desperation and LOVE for his family which ultimately backfired against himself in the end of the day .

    Rouge One will fix that. I doubt it will get into Vader's backstory, it will just show him as an unstoppable enforcer.

    Why is that? I want to see Darth Vader being a bad ars like he is in the REBELS cartoon but in live action...

    I would pay 10 times over to see it.

    That is the cash cow DISNEY, take note....

    Well it looks badass for sure in "Rebels" but it's a tricky situation of CHI with realistic movements. Vader's armor is heavy and even though he has bionic kinds to help him do super human things, he still has his body to drag around. Hopefully there are some new programs that have been written by ILM to make him look as realistic as possible...something like oir army exoskeletons .

    Well, with the Rogue One Darth Vader story board tumors just surfacing and with the violence in Marvel's Vader Down series, I'm 99% confident we'll see a very powerful Vader doing violent things to Rebel troops! I'm excited about these film rumors that match what we saw in the comics!! Think I'm more excited now about Rogue One than Ep 8!!!!

    I actually said that he wouldn't because Disney/LFL originally said that there would be no Jedi or Sith in the movie...maybe a mention, but not in person. After hearing that, It somewhat turned my interest away from it, but NOW that we have some kind of confirmation, I think it's awesome. I wonder who's going to play him??

    Vader in particular makes sense in this regard, given that he was personally chasing after Leia at the beginning of ANH. So he might not come into the movie until later on, but he will kind of take over the hunt for the Rebels once he does I think. So it works plot-wise, continuity-wise, and yes marketing-wise (but even a tease of Vader into the trailer and watch the audience's excitement rise).

    But yeah, no other Jedi or Sith please, just him.

    since hearing about rogue-one, i've always thought that it would need 'something' extra to get great numbers into the cinemas. yes we will all be there (multiple times for most of us lol), but would the average movie goer be grabbed by a trailer of rogue-one?

    well this is 'something'. seeing RL Vader in a trailor and hearing the icon James Earl Jones... is the 'something' that i think it needs.

    and boy would it be 'something' !!!

    Now that I think of it. I would much rather have Darth Vader as a holo graphic type image.

    Like they did in REBELS. Possibly not even mentioning his name but only showing him like the picture below.

    The reason for this is very simple. An action scene IMHO would take away a very important childhood entrance.

    THIS SCENE WOULD NEVER FEEL THE SAME!
    You will lose the HOLY SH*T moment. Vader is back......
