I would love to see "comic book" Vader on screen, however right near the end of the movie there should be a massive attempt on Vader's life that nearly succeeds and leaves him completely destroyed in order for me to be able to accept the Vader we see on ANW just walking around, doing a bit of force chokes and fighting Old Ben. There is no way the same guy that throws debris to destroy Y-wings wouldn't be able to handle red squadron in the trench run.

Yes Virginia, there is a Darth Vader. He's real, all of it and he's coming to kick the Rebel's ass...but ultimately lose the Death Star plans.

Don't expect Vader with a central role, but yeah he'll shine and the trailer in the spring is doing to shatter everyone's minds. :)

    Just a hunch.

There's also a good deal of asymmetry on the front of the "cheek bones". Part of the reason the ROTS Vader looked off, especially on all the merchandise and stock photos.

Decapitations and limb removal are nothing new in Star Wars. As long as there is not blood, they keep PG-13.

I was pleasantly surprised with Force. I had concerns, but the scariest part for my 7 year old was the monster on Han's ship. She even said Darth Vader was scarier than Kylo which really put me at ease. To me Kylo is much darker and the action sequences far more intense than anything in the OT.

LOL now people are seeing what I saw many many many months ago. I had a thread about Darth Vader being used in Rogue One and it being a missed opportunity if not used.

That has to be the worst Darth Vader voice I've ever heard.

Yeah and those guys who basically had the entire script outline right over a year before TFA released are never right! :)

Heh, I kid, yeah Vader kicking butt will sell tickets, so I wager very highly it's bound to happen. He's not going to be happy to hear the plans were beamed aboard a consular ship on its way to his old haunt, Tatooine.

The trailer folks, we are probably less than 8 weeks away from a trailer now. It will set this forum on fire when it hits, going to be so awesome.

When I hear someone with the integrity of Forest Whitaker look in the camera and say, "fans are going to love it, this is a darker, grittier Star Wars", I could not be more thrilled.

The TFA hay ride of nostalgia was fun, but this stages the greatest film ever made, shows you what transpired. Read the opening crawl of Episode IV, the Rebels win a huge battle, the plans are desperately beamed to a secret diplomatic mission after they learn OB1 Kenobi is still alive and living on Tatooine...

...I practically feel my heart rate rising just thinking about this film. It might secretly become my favorite Star Wars film ever, if it strikes the kind of tone I think it's searching for.

You know how Iron Man and Avengers are all fun and games but it's actually Daredevil and Jessica Jones that feature Marvel's best work to the really hardcore Frank Miller heads of the 80's?

Same kinda deal here I think.

Sounds awesome! It will also create Vader as being more powerful than we have seen.

Palpatine to Yoda: Darth Vader shall become more powerful than either of us.

This would tie things in nicely. We haven't seen Vaders true power on a battlefield environment. Can't wait!

Oh man he killed Luke his son, I have forgotten how muffled Vader's voice is, where is James Earl Jones when you need him.

Its about to get real. Spooky. How powerful was Vader? Spooky powerful. And its about time cause I was getting sick of fans saying he was a cripple in the OT. The time has come. We shall all find the truth.

I have found peoples lack of faith disturbing for a long time.
