    to add to this, campea also said on Mail Bag today that the "source" claims the "feeling is mutual", as in WB want Affleck to go away.

    FWIW, I'm hearing talk that the whole Matt Reeves situation has a lot to do with his CAA agent trying to get a better deal and that they're taking advantage of the fact that WB's press surrounding the DCEU is in pretty sorry shape in order to guilt them into accepting their terms. Reeves was (and possibly still is) apparently very interested in the movie, so I'm not entirely sure that he'd drop it of his own volition.

    In other news, WW was just test screened. Early responses seem to suggest that the movie's good, or at least that casual filmgoers will like it.

    At this point I don't really trust the buzz from their test screenings. I still remember all the positive buzz from early screenings of BvS... I'm am still somewhat hopeful about Wonder Woman though. At the very least, it looks like the film that is most divorced from the tone set by Snyder so far. Experience with the DCEU so far has taught me to be cautious about my expectations.

    The thing that's also worth keeping in mind is that the response wasn't hyperbolic - they didn't call WW "the best DC movie since TDK" or anything like that. The response was measured, which makes me think that it's more likely to be indicative of the movie's overall quality. (I should note that I've greatly enjoyed all three DCEU movies thus far, but I can get why they're not necessarily everyone's cup of tea.)

    Simple, WB wants to differentiate their cinematic universe from the MCU, even though DCCU would make more sense IMO.

    DCMU would make more sense to me. But I guess that they don't want to exclusively confine themselves to movies if they ever do a television series set in the 'verse at some point.

    My my how things change....remember when the DCEU was on a high after The Dark Knight Rises? Then Marvel has just pulled off some real epic movies with GotG, Civil War, Ant-Man and Dr Strange.....setting up Infinity War which looks to be a $2B blockbuster.....
