    I so badly wanted Snyder out of these films, but never would have wished it the way that it happened. I hope that he and his wife can find peace. That said, you can clearly see that they are injecting more color and visually giving these heroes more life and more of a fun comic book feel than the dreary Snyder aesthetic had and thank goodness for it.

    Not quite true. A JL2 script is in early development, and Snyder was previously confirmed to direct JL2 before JL1 came out, but it's sounding like plans have changed significantly and that JL will be his last DC movie in the director's chair for a while.

    His daughter's death probably had a lot to do with it, along with the unfair amount of hatred he's received has likely soured him from directing another comic book movie for a long time. (Criticism of his work is warranted - attacks on him personally are not, and unfortunately we live in an age where the latter are seen as acceptable in certain circles.)

    I think they'll keep him on-board as a producer, though. A lot of the people who have worked with him have called him one of the nicest people in Hollywood, and it would only make sense to keep him on your team if your talent likes working with him.

    Yeah, I can't stand Snyder's aesthetic for these films, but he's clearly talented and will do well with other subjects. I very much wanted his exit, but not how it happened. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

    A Deathstroke movie, starring Joe Manganiello, is in development with the director of the two The Raid movies directing after pitching the film to WB. If you don't think that's the hypest sh*t, then get out of my face!
