    I've read that Elfman brought back the old Batman theme. On one hand it's cool, but on the other it doesn't make much sense (different universe, different vibe). Anyway, it's gonna be nice to hear it again and I'm glad if the one by Zimmer/Junkie XL is gone. It was awful... Didn't do justice to the character at all.

    He also brought back a different version of the Superman theme... I think it's used in a scene where the characters reflect on why the world needs Superman (and, by extension, superheroes).

    As for the Junkie XL Bat-theme, I feel like it made sense with Batman in regards his story arc in that specific film (IE: something of a superheroic take on Ahab from Moby-Dick), but I think it's probably better that a new theme is made to support a more heroic version of the character. I feel like it suited that story, but it doesn't suit the character as a leitmotif in the same way that the electric cello does for Wonder Woman.

    I will probably end up seeing this at my local cinema rather then make a special trip opening weekend. Though at £5 for weekend afternoon showing I think is very good value?

    I'm liking the clips of Justice League that they've released so far, and I think the trailers are good. At the same time, I'm kind of glad that Zack Snyder is handing off the setting to other directors after this point - and I'm saying that as a fan. It seems like this will end up being a decent enough "transition" movie for them to figure out where to take things from here.

    That's actually less expensive than the average American ticket... I say go for it if you're not committed to seeing the movie on the biggest screen possible.

    To be fair, a number of WB releases do that. IT being a recent example. I think their model isn't one that focuses on what the critics think unless they absolutely know that the movie they come out with is going to please almost all of them.

    FWIW, I also heard that there was a test screening they did which got a similar score to the test screening that they did for Wonder Woman.

    To be even more fair, it usually is a bad sign with a few notable outlying ones. IIRC horror movies are among the last to lift embargoes almost every time.
    You can point to all sorts of outlying data for anything, but historically, this is a bad sign.
    WB was more than willing to push the Wonder Woman embargo lift up when they knew they had a hit.
    So holding it back on Justice League looks more suspect.
