    According to the OneRing.net, DC has asked Peter Jackson to direct a DC movie, and he is thinking about it. According to the site, Jackson has to decide if he is going to help out on the Lord of the Rings series for Amazon, or if he is going to do the DC movie they offered him.

    And from what I've heard, Spielberg and Jackson aren't the only popular directors from previous years that DC are courting. I personally suspect that Robert Zemeckis will get to film one.

    I havne't been following on the BTS with DC recently, but it seems like they are scrambling to get the best of the best to save their skins.

    Nah. Rumor is that they were in touch with him as far back as Wonder Woman. Aquaman's apparently pretty good and there aren't any concerns about the projects moving forward in production. If anything, it sounds like they're really getting their stuff together.

    In addition, a recent rumor even said that Ben Affleck is now leaning toward extending his contract. Which considering the months of news regarding his potential departure, this would be shocking (in a good way).

    Well, this looks like a fun film. I hope the worldbuilding for Atlantis is good. It would really help to give this movie a much needed individuality.

    Aquaman looks like an epic adventure with amazing world-building.

    Shazam! looks like its going to be a really fun and heartwarming flick.

    Let's hope its true, for the sake of DC!

    Trailers look very promising. Aquaman looks like fantasy epic, which is tailored for my taste. Let's hope that WB leaves James Wan to do his job. Shazam! looks like loads of fun made to usher a new generation of nerds into a wider world. :D

    Maybe after Wonder Woman I actually see not one, but two other DC movies.

    So Affleck is gone as BM, Cavill out as SM. And now I've read that James Gunn's Suicide Squad will NOT be a sequel, with one of the DC execs alluding to that film being a reboot. So essentially the DCEU is going to go through a rolling soft reboot.

    This is neither good or bad news for me. I guess I will just see how it goes.

    Side not, okay, so Disney wisely turned GOTG3 back over to Gunn. Buuuuttttttt ..... If I were in charge at DC, I'd give Gunn the keys to the DCEU. Replace Snyder(who i love and was not the problem IMO) with Gunn.

    if they have gone the brave way with this movie (and it looks like they have from the trailer) then i think it could be a hugely successful movie, and a much needed positive shot in the arm for DC.

    i'm certainly looking forward to it :)

    It looks great! Joaquin Phoenix is an amazing actor and I think he could even be the second best Joker ever (Mark Hamill will always be number 1). I really hope though that they don't make this Joker an Ant-Hero. Yes, he can be sympathetic, but he should lose it and become evil and mad.

    Yeah, hopefully it will be the start of something amazing for DC. Aquaman was amazing (imo) but he can't really hold a whole franchise on his own. Joker could definitely start something even darker but more story driven.

    (Mark definitely has the best laugh =p)
    It definitely looks like they are trying to make us feel sorry for him, but he's gonna turn into a monster, he's just got to.That's who the Joker is, he's not like Venom (great movie but I think he should have been more of a villain) or Deadpool. DC really needs a solid villain, every one so far has been mediocre at best.

    It is funny, how fanboys despise the Star Wars, but fanboys of DC love DCEU...
    I did like Man of Steel, Wonder Woman and Shazam... Batman v Superman was horrible, Suicide Squad was kinda fun just for the character interaction (Joker was horrible in it), Justice League was boring... I am a huge DC fan, but man, what a horrid ride. Is is even staggering when people claim that Disney raped their childhood, but Extended Cut of Batman v Superman is second coming of Jesus. It is better, but that movie is still bad. To this day, Christopher Nolan made the Dark Knight Trilogy movies closest to the comics character wise and made it almost real-life, engaging. It was the closest we have got to modern Batman... But Snyder Batman is on levels of of Frank Miller All-star Batman hell. I am not interested in Birds of Prey at all, may be fun movie on itself if done good ala The Joker (which was awesome!), but I am put off by the looks of it. DC excels with solo movies and completely sucks with Team Ups... I would rather see another Shazam with Superman cameo at the end, than all the Justice League assembled and wasted...

    On the other hand, I have enjoyed Episode IX greatly with all it's flaws.
