So after TFA and Starkiller Base, I wonder if the First Death Star had more planetary victims or more success than just destroying Alderaan.

We just saw the DS I Station in ANH doing quiet nothing more than this.

Should/Can we ask the Lucas Story Group for information on the DS I and its whole terror work before ANH?

In the Legends there were planets destroyed by testing the Death Stars Ray. Can we hope for similar stories?

What do you think? Was the Death Star more busy than we saw in the movies? Because for now all the Death Star-Doom Machine Angst and Terror looks very un-productiv.

If you take into account the other life forms, it could have potentially been in the trillions .

Taking only Alderaan and the whole Death Star Crew, right?

But were there more than just them?

If you also think of any life forms on nearby asteroids and whatnot, then there were more...actually, I vaguely remember Obi-Wan Kenobi stating that, "It's as if trillions of life forms just...vanished..." But idk if I'm getting that quote right .

Okay those are the more or less official numbers.

But just for the sake of making the Death Star I more effciant looking I hope some new canon material comes up about how the DS I Station destroyed in its inauguration some other planets.

I would have asked Hidalgo myself if I had social media...Just to be sure if this idea isnĀ“t too far out there but considerable.

Technically this site is social media so you have it...also, Rarkin told Leia that this was its first test and all .

The first and real test in its fully armed and operational state. Before that many other test could be possible.

Including asteroids and planetoids. Tarkin tells Leia that Alderaan is the "planet" to be destroyed first.

And according to Ben Kenobi "millions of voices" were silenced which gives us an approximate idea.

Maybe on the Yavin IV planet surface, perhaps some fragments from the death star took more victims on the ground.

The ANH novelization described the Great Temple on Yavin IV essentially as a bunker, one that could theoretically withstand any bombardment (except, of course, for the Death Star).

But undoubtedly the moon was on an orbital trajectory that took it straight through the Death Star debris cloud, so there was some fallout.

Off course those at the great temple would have survived maybe those in the forest area

I say there were victims-Geonosians. Geonosis is where it is constructed, and rumor is Mads Mikkelsen's character, named Galen (not confirmed), is the scientist that helps finally figure out how to get the superlaser working. SO maybe, during his work on it, he tested it out on parts of Geonosis, on physical beings, etc. So a lot of lost asteroids and Geonosians.

Well, Geonosis was sterilised by The Empire, and any surviving Geonosians were forced into slave labour. I'd asy that 'technically' counts as another planet destroyed by the Death Star.
