It could be a FO Strormtrooper pack, I mean it is really white. Breathing gear might be in there.

 

This isn't an A-wing... this, as pointed out by another poster, looks a lot like the ship that left Rey behind on Jakku. The bump on the middle of the ship, between the engines, looks almost identical to the one from Jakku. Maybe Rey tells her memories of flying around the galaxy as a child? Or maybe she returns to her real home in the end.

 

I haven’t read all of the posts in this thread, so I apologize if I repeat what other people have already noticed.



Rey’s outift in this trailer combines elements from all three of her mentors, while still being true to herself: her white outfit resembling both Luke and Leia, she still has her blaster holstered in true Han Solo fashion and this shot is remniscent of Han, the hood reminding me of Leia’s hood on her dress in ANH and obviously the fact that she still wields the legendary Skywalker lightsaber, albeit modified to be her own.



Also, I’m calling it now: this shot is a flashback from the Battle of Jakku. Can’t wait for December!

 

Back to my theory of it being the first Death Star. There's a picture on the main page of a Tantive IV like cruiser in an abandon hangar overgrown w/ vegetation .. my $$$ its YavinIV
Visiting both Endor and YavinIV in the same movie...doubtful IMO..

 

Yep. I am really divided. We gonna need to wait for another trailer to try to find this out: DS I or DS II? Yavin IV and Endor in the same movie I also think its very hard to happen.

It would make sense for the Resistance to hide or regroup at an abandon base.
There can be multiple reasons to go back to Yavin IV (established base, left over weapons and vehicles etc.. ) yet no reason would justify going back to Endor unless its for the 2nd DS.

 

I agree this is the same ship they used as the one Rey watches leave her on Jakku. This shot wasn’t all that interesting so I wonder if it was included as an Easter egg for hawkeyed fans like us to discuss. I mean on its face it’s just a ship approaching a planet. Why even include this in the trailer? There is no meaning at all...unless it’s Rey’s parents ship and this is where they went after they left her.

Or they just reused this ship and it means nothing. Or it’s this ship?

 

It had a dreamy quality and it showed a different type of environment. Good enough reason to show it.

 

I was just thinking that it is very unlikely a piece of the death star I could end up on Yavin 4. The first death star was on the other side of Yavin and had just acquired line of sight before it was destroyed so any fragments remaining would most probably end up on the gas giant Yavin if anywhere. Unlike the second death star which was actually in orbit around the forrest moon of Endor.

 

Interestingly, on Ian’s IMDB page he is credited as Palpatine in TROS (post-production).

 

In what way was Luke's lightsaber modified?

 

I wouldn't trust IMDB till the film comes. Anyone can update it.

There is no point in speculating. I have been fooled twice before. I have come to an understanding that most Star Wars fans will love anything and everything that comes out. Like criticizing Palpatine's return. Bringing him back is a desperate move IMO. What happened to killing the past? I can't voice my concern here though, not without getting downvoted. It depends on how they execute it I guess? But why Palpatine? Why not just have Snoke return? Maybe Snoke is so powerful he wanted Kylo to kill him, releasing him from his broken body? There is so many directions they could have went, but right back to Palpatine? I am not falling for anything until I see the movie, not this time.

 

Why would she do that with the lightsaber ignited?
And where is she going to land?

In short... can it be, that this is not a training but not even a mere attack, but Rey trying to steal the tie-fighter?

In addition, do we have a pic of Kylo's gloves in this movie?
Because... the gloves of whoever is maneuvering the tie are just like those of Poe.
So maybe they steal the tie and then he flys it... I don't know, but it's intresting I think.

 

all i can come up with, is that she's going to use the light saber like a climber would use an ice-pick.. to latch onto the tie fighter.

if the tie is not attempting to kill her.. why is it so low? my over stretched and often flawed logic tells me that Kylo is picking Rey up.. and that they don't have time to do it safely.

other than that ridiculous idea.. i'm out lol

 

Because she's running, and she is running out of the spectrum of the fire. She's at center, the fire shots would go to
right and letf of her. So all the tie can do is hit her.
