Deep dramatic or Fierce Murderous Role For VADER?

I'm hoping that he will have a significant battle scene, but as more time passes, I'm starting to feel that it is less likely.

 

Brilliantly formed post. I think this:

- We'll see Vader fighting and getting injured.
- We see Vader in a new suit.
- We see Vader kill Krennic.
- We see Vader begin his chase of the Tantive.

I know it may seem optimistic but the puzzle pieces are falling into place. I think we're going to get a bit more Vader than we initially thought.

 

I hope Krennic gives him a reason to give him a little choke.

 

Well thought out thread I have a thread about the possibility of Vader piloting his super sexy tie fighter which I'd maybe want to see more than him slashing around his lightsaber..definitely both would be nice though. Lol the more Vader and emperor the better for me. Sorry, but So far these trailers aren't getting me too excited for these new rebels. Corny lines and corny looks. :/ give me the empire! We won't be seeing Vader or emperor for a long time or even ever again so..

 

Now that we're getting hint that Vader may be more present then assumed I was curious to what sort of Vader you want to see? We've seen both pissed off, ruthless Vader and also a Vader still fighting his feelings and a deep sadness to his decisions.

I would personally like to see a character arch in Vader where at first he's trying to act as a fare war general that chooses not to kill right away, but slowly begins getting frustrated and lights the end up.

Also would be cool if Krennic was his first Imperial kill and it shows he's struggling to hold back until he chokes the hell out of him resulting in answering to the Emperor.

What Vader do you want to see?

 

I want to see him atleast igniting his lightsaber but I think that the current rumors that is the general concensus is that he will only be in two or three scenes based on the current information
.

 

As what @AstromechRecords stated, I think his scenes will meaningful, memorable, but minimal for there to be much development. With it being roughly 20 years between ROTS and RO, I think he has probably already developed into the Vader we all know.

More seriously, while I would enjoy a ruthless Darth Vader, cutting down Rebels left and right (as we have seen in the comics), I do not expect him to do so in the movie. Like @Fearghas_Ajax already indicated, I do not think that we will see much character development for him either.
