    If abrams is not going to direct the whole trilogy which i think is stupid then I want a different director for each film Peter Jackson would be intresting *waits for stupid jokes about it being split into 3 parts*

    The Looper guy is on for Episode 8 then I think he's writing the script for Episode 9. Not sure who's directing though.

    Rian Johnson is only writing the treatment for Episode IX.

    Now my own personal conspiracy theory: SINCE JJ is so busy with directing and now editing E7 for next December he cannot possibly be involved to the extent necessary to write and direct Episode VIII. AND Disney would be crazy NOT to have JJ direct another episode, especially with how well-received this production has been. Pretty flawless overall. Add in the fact that E7 is likely to break alot of box office records and Disney would obviously want to replicate that success. My theory is that JJ will write Episode IX based on Johnson's treatment, which is influenced by E7 anyway. Also, this is highly plausible since JJ and Johnson met in the August summit (during the shooting break.) I suspect that JJ advised Johnson on the overall arc of the story and what he wanted to see in Episode VIII and IX. I believe that JJ will write and direct Episode IX.
