Did you expect a shocking twist in TLJ?

A big twist would have been too obvious, ironically enough.

 

Thats why this is probably the most interesting movie of the SW franchise.
I was like: what?!!!!??? The entire movie.
The Snoke death.and the Luke's.projection in Crait were the best examples.

 

I yelled in the theater when

Snoke was cut in half.

It's the great Star Wars moment in a theater I've ever experienced.

 

The twist was RJ doesn't get SW.

 

The whole move felt like one big intertwining twist. Loved it!

 

I think there were surprising things but nothing on par with "I am your Father."

I called Snoke getting offed by Kylo before TFA. I was wrong by 2 acts. Not bragging. Is also thought/hoped Snoke was a 25 foot dragon creature. I hoped for Rey Solo long after the evidence for died on screen in TFA.

So I expected Snoke's death.

Luke being a projection that surprised me legitimately. I was annoyed he looked like he stopped for a hair cut and beard dye before showing up to rescue them. It wasn't until the revel I realized he appeared as they last remembered him.

 

I kinda felt/knew there would be one but didn't know exactly when.

 

I think it was better to have smaller, but just as impactful, twists throughout the film than maybe one big shock/reveal like in Empire. Because although there was no one, big defining twist like 'No, I am your father", Snoke's death, the teaming up of Kylo and Rey, Yoda's appearance, Luke's astral projection, and Leia's life saving sudden use of the force kept people on the edge of their seats. A constant stream of smaller shocks was more unexpected as one big reveal might have been too predictable.

 

Oh i get it. Sure i do. I GET MY HEROES R BEING THROWN AWAY LIKE LAST WEEKS LEFTOVERS!

At least i know now deep down in my ♡, that i choose passion! I am a Sith!

I didn't mind either way.

Although I did feel that a lot of the elements that I felt were included for shock factor fell a little flat with me, at times breaking me out of the film and leaving me pondering why RJ had made that decision.

The one that I felt did work really well was Luke's projection, it was masterfully done and worked perfectly after being foreshadowed at the start of the film where he talks about facing down the entire First Order with a laser sword. That it gave Luke the last word and made Kylo look like a true idiot was the icing on the cake.

 

Yep that was a jaw dropping moment.

 

I expected Snoke to die.

Though, I didn't expect Kylo to remain dark afterward.

 

Didn't really expect a shocking twist in TLJ, but it was unexpected when Snoke was killed.
I was like....huh,...already!?

anyhow, I'm quite curious how things will go from here, so I'm expecting some shocking twists in the next movie.

 

Snoke getting chopped up was the only real shocker to me. Rey's parentage reveal was fairly easy to guess in the film, and I was definitely anticipating Luke coming back into play during the siege of Crait.

 

The biggest twist was that there was only one scene with the 8 pack. They lied to me. I expected more. Like a full view Kylo scene to show it in all its glory.

Harrumph harrumph.
