I went to see the avengers and the theater has digital posters instead of normal ones. Theses were 2 posters that they showed. Does anyone know if they are real?

Wow. Never seen anything like them, although the Darth Vader helmet one reminds me of some fan art I've seen before maybe. I tend to think this isn't official stuff. "Into darkness" doesn't seem to fit with this movie (and harkens to JJ's last movie), and the inclusion of old X-Wings is a little suspect.

But I don't know. I wonder if any other theaters have these?

First one is totally fanart, but I don't recognize the second one. Though I'm calling it fake due to 'VII' not being in promotion.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting. Although "Who will stop the light when it fades into darkness?" is awful, just awful. So hope they're not real, but then could a theatre display non-official posters? I'm..not..so..sure.... >_<

They used these in a theater?!? I think Disney will be really pissed if they find out.
Both are fan made and while the first one looks OK (although it's a complete rip-off of The Dark Knight Rises poster), the second is horrible. This is some really bad publicity for TFA.

Which theater is this and which city?

I thought they were fan art too but they are in a theater and they have Lucasfilm on them. I think it's odd that the theater had them up.

Just to confirm what others have said, way back when it was first announced that Disney bought Lucasfilm and had plans for new SW films, I started doing Google Image searches for fan art, and that first poster was one of the very first ones that I saw. It's definitely fan art, although I can't remember what website it was originally shown on or who the artist was. I believe It was on a blog and it was in an article titled something like "Check Out the Cool SW Fan-Art".

I've never seen the second one, but since the first poster is fan art, the second one must be as well. Also, you would think they would want to show the new style X-Wings flying instead of the old style OT versions like we see crashed in the beginning of teaser 2, and use the proper title The Force Awakens instead of Star Wars Episode VII.

Strange that unofficial fan art would be on display in a theater.

ETA- Looks like jtobiska already posted a link for the origin of poster #1-

    Some theaters don't simply care.

Tell them to remove those immediately!

This reminds me of when a Chinese theater got a poster for Thor: The Dark World, which was actually stolen Thor/Loki slash fanart. Seriously.

And if you pay close attention, his hand resembles a triangle. Illuminati confirmed.
