    We are all prone to the Dark side.
    This is explanation why Dooku Icon and neutral rating are negative in perception.
    I would disagree make,as I said zero rating,with positive character,like Obi Wan,and name it"Different point of view" That will kick ass of the Dark side in here.A Jedi rating,respect,different thought,certain point of view.

    I mean, it kinda does. I know that the intention is that Green is positive, yellow neutral, and Red is negative, but consider two facts-

    1) As I already pointed out, all of the neutral ratings outside of disagreement have a negative connotation.

    and

    2) The vast majority of users have ratings that have green positive far outnumbering any other rating. So, essentially on the bars it doesn't look like "neutral" is equally eating into the positive and negative ratings, but that both neutral and negative are eating into the positive ratings.

    All I'm saying is, I'd be somewhat wary of a user with an extremely heavy neutral rating, so I don't think that's a fair burden for simply disagreeing with someone.

    At the end of the day not everyone will like what you have to say. Worrying about your ratings is just another way to find yourself trying to please others. Just be mindful of others and non offensive and you will be fine. If you have 1000 positives and 100 neg I think people still get that you aren't a troll. It isn't a big deal.

    I feel so happy about myself today...I found and corrected all the non positive ratings i gave out :D it bugged me...it did...but hey...even i the Master of the Kights of Emos succumb to my emmotions on occassions...during PMS most often...hahah...glad thats over :p

    Still...i think curent rating system is great and should not be changed. But....do add some neg ratings trophies....like...Darksaber...or...something :D ei @Alamact ;)

    If a post is interesting even if I disagree I still give it a like.maybe the disagree button should be changed into a still positive "respectfully disagree " button .and btw I think it was discussed elsewhere but wise and informative and great post and funny and stuff should increase the trophy points otherwise they are useless.

    I am not really sure if we should encourage negative behavior, this could be a very short lived pleasure.;)
    That is straight out of the playbook of the "euphemism treadmill" sooner or later it will be used in a way that brings us back to the start.
    Yeah, but who blances that stuff atm we have a positive spread in point distribution between 1-2 which is ok and not very judgemental. Who judges what is more important, if we need for example more funny posts or wise old one liners that are sooner or later shallow.. Just using a multiplyer would lead to a point inflation and devalues points, that have already no use.

    Have to disagree here, we don't know best and feedback is always nice and needed;).
    It is about balancing and I'm not sure if everybody has the same preference, until then a equal point distribution is at least not favoring any style of reply. way better then arguing after a while if funny is more important then informative or stuff.

    You know if someone for example posts an exceptional post which gets 10 great post ratings and 20 wise ratings it won't do anything to his progress bar.but if you post some ordinary one liner which gets 5 likes you progress.doesnt seem reasonable to me.

    But it does the only difference between a like posative & the other posative ratings is you get a Cantina credit for the like & not the other posative they all count to your character overall posative ratings.

    Though there is a seprative trophy for only likes but that stops at 3000 & this includes profile post likes & the likes to post ratio trophy but these are kind of separate from your overall posative rating which is what we are discussing right?

    There are much worse exploits here to get the points maximized, much much worse.;)
    This is just a mathematical issue of big numbers , the would move quicker if you have 20 post overall and if you have 10k post you wouldn't even notice the bar unless you have 4k screen with a looking glass. The thing with points and bars is, it is meant as a general impression, nothing to reach for. there is no goal or endgame. But if you see a red bar don't expect a serious discussion.
