No it's great... it just has me thinking... is that Daisy? the hips... they look like a younger Carrie Fisher... Daisy could be Leia's daughter. We would have to ask the blue guy, he probably has a better angle on these things...

God, somebody get some confirmation on this... who is the Panty Robber in Ep VII?!?!?!?!? (And does "Dark Knight" refer to her grooming habits? Perhaps the carpet doesn't match the drapes, and we have been mislead from the start...)

I think it's Mannequin Skywalker... and you're thinking too far into this.

I have also been thinking along these lines, partially because
    A) it looks too apocalyptic/dark/edgy compared to what JJ Abrams seemed to tout earlier (a return to the fun spirit of Star Wars)
    B) some of the concepts feel weak, and EU-y - but some of it looks absolutely awesome (I'm looking at you, AT-AT Orphanage)
    C) the stories that these images could represent do not inspire as much as I want to

All that being said, I am still amped about some of the artwork whatever it was made for, and some of the artwork does seem legit, as they feature stuff also seen in the JJ Abrams videos (I'm thinking of that Tatooine marketplace). The piece where you see "Kira" on some speeder cruising away from the camera in a landscape littered with war detritus is just too striking. I love it.

But if the story actually is: Kira and Stormtrooper-guy travel to all the planets we saw in the original trilogy to find Luke, then discover Luke has become an evil hermit - I will think the story isn't particularly engaging or fresh (of course, there would be so much more to it, but this seems like the main idea people have for Episode VII).

But boy do I love not knowing whether I'm being punked or not.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind a Luke Skywalker struggling with his past or even having become flirtatious with the Dark Side - but I think having him holed up for most of the movie and then have a MUHAHA reveal sounds weak.

I just think it is so kewl... the plot so original... the children of Han and Leia have grown, they are now ready to go to college on the Forest Moon of Endor. Striking from their hidden base, the remnant fraternity Phi Kappa Sith have struck deep into Alliance dormitories to score their first panty raid. Fleeing through the commons, they are now pursued by Luke Skywalker, Dean of Students....

Poor Han and Leia... you wouldn't expect someone as ubercool as Han to have a nerd for a child...

That's it folks... Episode VII - Attack of the Nerds

i wouldn't be surprised if these were intentionally "leaked". i agree with others in that either way, Disney can't (and shouldn't) do anything about it, other than to ensure nothing more is given away (if indeed anything has). as for it being a tight ship, all or nothing, i don't agree; there are a lot of ways things can slip, but as you said, they all signed their right to free speech away so on their heads' be it!

personally, i don't think these photos really reveal a whole lot, whether or not they're authentic. we get some weird glimpses of scenes that only show some evil dude and a girl; no other character is at all discern-able. however, i find it interesting that the Falcon is parked out front of a place that looks like Skellig... it's also worth mentioning that there was a photo of what looked to be a large AT-AT foot in the desert, not to mention the Common scene and the desert market clip (both of which appear in concept art form). although, as you've argued, they could be mixing in some "truth" to make us believe it all the more; seeing as to how we already know these shots took place there's not a lot of harm in showing us the concept art. so much intrigue!

Right, if I saw that pic of the bad guy with their arm around the girl, I would not have thought it was Star Wars related.

I think the "source" was in possession for a while, and waited until they had all been milked before actually revealing them. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but... the most obvious would be greed... and I do not mean that in a bad way...

When you run a website, you want people to come to it. If I had 30 pictures of the new Star Wars film, I would leak them slowly...starting with rumors (that would get people talking) then some description... one by one... then only when all that had run its course, when attention was high and anticipation salivatory, I would only then release them... that's marketing, and if you are going to run a website, like any business, you need to do things for effect from time to time.

There are, of course, many other reasons... our "source" could have a spy on the inside who had told them, "here are some pics. You can talk about them, but don't release them until I tell you to or you wont get any more" Many reasons... Occam's razor just says that the simplest answer is usually correct

It all looks like a bad Harlequin romance set in space! (Funny how an exhaustive 48 hour speculation spitball session can change things.)

Also, for the record I'm Michael Arndt. Or Arndt I? You make the call!

Also: epilogue, someone missed a blue balls joke opportunity above. Award me some medal things please. Thanks.

So... basically what you are saying is that everything you have to say is discarded and useless? Hmmmm.... good to know...

I could use a hug... but you said you were Michael Arndt, which means you aren't on the project anymore and your script didn't get used... personally, I had enjoyed your post, but now that I know you aren't involved anymore....

I totally agree OP. We don't know how accurate any of this stuff is, but I do believe some of it is accurate (specifically Daisy Ridley living in an AT AT). Disney have made no attempt to get this stuff taken down. Maybe they realise that once it's up, it's up. Maybe a lot of the stuff is no longer relevant and it does a great job of distracting people from the true plot.
