Disney has released R-rated films before under owned studio banners like Touchstone. So, I think fears of a neutered Deadpool are overblown.

My guess is that Deadpool will remain a fox film and exist on its own in its own universe with X-Force and possible Multiple Man, X-23, and Gambit. While the X-Men proper will likely be rebooted and brought into the MCU for the next phase after Avengers 4.

It's possible that they follow Marvel comics and introduce parallel universes into the equation and just merge the universes. But with the muddled mess that is the X-Universe, I wonder if Feige would rather just start over like he did with Spidey.

    Like Rebo says above -

Miramax was owned by Disney and distributed a lot of films that were far from "Disney" content.

Exactly. I mean, Disney released pulp fiction. I think Deadpool will be fine.

I was more wondering if Disney will keep Marvel characters under different banners for their cinematic releases. I'm sure X-men and Fantastic Four (unless Constantin Films retains the rights). I wish they'd use Deadpool a la Mel Brooks where he's the ride along character for R-Rated parodies of their films!

Constantine I think still retains the rights to F4 but Fox has the Distribution rights s so unless Constantine want to make a F4 for there friends I think it's a safe assumption that the F4 will be incorporated into the MCU some time after or even at the end of IW2 or whatever they end up calling the next avengers film.

X-Men should be in it's own X-verse. Ideally (to me) as a TV Show. Long form story telling will suit X-Men better IMO.

And as you suggest, Deadpool and co have their own movie universe.

Fantastic Four stylistically and thematically fits so well in the MCU.

I wonder if Disney will ditch Singer and let new people make X-Men movies?

Considering he's about to be ostracized from Hollywood for eternity for what is openly known about him being an assaulter of people and what is allegedly coming out soon about him as well, I think it's safe to say that Disney will dismiss Singer in short order.
