No. You attempt to trivialize what I have written here and none of these issues are trivial by far.

So we will see exactly where your loyalties are.

And you "people" keep spinning. I am tired of it. Canon is altered. But your ok with that.

Didn't Obi-Wan say the Jedi were all noble and heroic in the OT until the PT proved otherwise?

No. We have different things that are important to us when it comes to Star Wars. Loyalties? You're taking this far too seriously. Star Wars is a movie. Entertainment. Its something I enjoy, but I'd rather see a good tale than worry about the tiny things like whether or not Rey waived her hand for a Jedi mind trick. Its not something major like suggesting Luke Skywalker was actually a Sullustan, or Darth Vader had a purple lightsaber, or that the Jedi Order was actually brought down because of a juggling accident. Yeah, that would bother me.

    BUT...

Adhering to a strict canon to the point that if there's the slightest deviation it ruins it? No thank you. I have more important things in my life to worry about.

That doesn't make me less of a fan. It makes me a different kind of fan. Accept it. Move on.

I'm watching a lot of personal attacks and negative ratings being tossed around here...please stop addressing each other, and yes, judging each others "level of fandom". That's enough.

Have I personally insulted anyone? Have I called them loser, moron, bantha poodoo? Do I call them a lukewarm fan? Yes I do.

You cannot, I REPEAT, CANNOT contend that:

    A. We have not seeing progressional increase in force powers of the most powerful users in the galaxy, and then contend that is not the norm. You cannot! We observed the LIFE of Anakin from a child to a broken old man. The same with Luke. We have countless examples of following Jedi and their developing powers over periods of decades. Obi Wan included.

And yet Mary Rey Sue does it immediately, but thats ok! I am a LUKEWARM fan who will deny the evidence!

I am also a lukewarm fan who will say hand gestures are not customary!

I am a lukewarm fan that will say and be pleased with anything!

Your arugements, ALL OF YOU, are invalid and erroneous attempts to justify Disney, yourself, and your level of commitment. Instead speaking volumes about what you really don't care about............

    Star Wars.

Whatever the purpose of this thread. I hope people understand why the world is laughing at us at the moment. They, the people who are not as radical as we are, normal audience members, have seen a movie they loved. We, the extreme fans, are discussing semantics and 'rules' and engage in activism that has become outright ridiculous. This is why I used to laugh at Star Trek fans. Now people are laughing at us. There was an article in one of the biggest Dutch newspapers the other day. It ridiculed us for exactly this kind of stuff. The petitions, the obsessive details, the so called rules, 'true Luke'. The outside world sees a movie which is great and gets critically lauded, and here we all are, acting like five year olds who didn't get their christmas presents. People saying they wanted to choke everyone after seeing the movie, or wanting to punch someone in the face, all because Luke sacrificed himself, because "Snoke's background wasn't revealed" or because Finn didn't become a Jedi and kissed an asian girl. Not even to speak of all the cynicism and conspiracy thinking.

Seriously, what has happened to us !?

I'll tell you what happened; We turned into the militant "Trekkies" that all SW fans pointed to and laughed at 20 years ago...we are now them....yes really.

For example. Yoda and Luke - and many other situations - used their hand when they lift the X-wing from the swamp. But later Luke only used his mind to lift C3POs chair.

It is not unreasonable to defend what you hold dear.

Would you defend your wife from attack?

George Lucas called Star Wars his children, is it unreasonable to defend your children?

I just don't understand how people are still like this after 10 years, yes, a decade, of arguing over the prequels. And after a film who's entire narrative is saying: "Don't be beholden to hero worship".

Wasn't there a guy from Spain who wanted to influence one of your TLJ twitter polls by trying to vote 200 times? I remember laughing at Star Trek fans when the first Abrams Star Trek film came out. It was critically lauded, audiences loved it. But when just for the fun of it went to look on one of their discussion boards. It was...

But George sold his "children" to Disney.

If he really considered SW to be his "children", why sell them?

    I wouldn't say "us."

It is not unreasonable...at ALL. You have to remember that SW isn't a tangible object, and as stated before...is art, and as such, some will love it and others will hate it...even it's own fans as they will interpret it in their own different any varying ways...let them, because trying to have a street fight about it WILL NOT change their minds...or yours. :)

Are you married to Star Wars, are Star Wars movies your children? Is anyone listening? It's futile.
