    Someone posted on here recently about Solo on Disney+ - the scene where Han meets Chewie in the mud pit. On d+ there are no subtitles when Han speaks Shryywook. I checked and there are none, any ideas as to why that is? I will message Disney and ask....

    I think I had similar problems with the Huttese subtitles in ANH or ROTJ last year. It might just have something to do with how one has their settings configured on Disney+. Just play out with the closed captioning options the next time you watch it on there and that might solve the problem.

    I’m planning on watching Solo tomorrow or Sunday anyway, so I‘ll get back to you on this!

    that was the first thing i checked. that turns on closed captioning but that is NOT the subtitles from the movie. closed caprioning is for hearing umpaired and puts comments/regular speech from the movie along the bottom. the shrywook translations were in the actual movie but are NOT on disney+ Solo movie

    Yeah, I’m watching Solo on Disney+ right now and the Shrywook translations worked just fine. Maybe it’s just a glitch on your end?

    Hey @The Hero With No Fear I too am watching right now and YOU ARE RIGHT.....my bad.....I actually watched the digital download I got at My Movies Anywhere first to verify the translations were there too..(they are)...then went to Disney+ and there they are.....well, disregard all that!!! SORRYY!!!!!

    That was me! I haven't watched again since, it may have just been a glitch when they first released it.

    What I forgot to mention earlier, was that I thought it was funny how the scene works perfectly without the subtitles. You can still tell Han is butchering the language, but that eventually he gets Chewie to listen. Maybe its because I already knew the exchange from seeing it before, but I think its more a credit to Alden and Joonas' acting that you knew exactly what was going on without understanding a single word.

    Ok so my friend has just completed a re watch of all the SW on Disney + & he mentioned the same thing that in the U.K. not only does that scene not have subtitles but they also appear to have removed the text that come up when Han gets to Mimban which is all very weird he also thought that SOLO seemed to be of a lower film quality compared to all the rest of the films available despite them all being in 4K.
    Not sure what is going on the only thing is that SOLO has been available on Disney + from the start here in the U.K. the only thing that might make sense is that they have been using a different negative of the film until it also becam available in the US.
    Any way I will give SOLO rewatch tomorrow & let you know if these changes still appear.
