Disney+ to launch without TLJ and Solo. How will this affect TROS?

There aren't any big Marvel movies coming out soon.

I mean, May, but I guess there is a huge difference between 7 months and 2 months.

And there's a good bit coming out on Disney+. Doesn't that seem even more relevant?

Doesn't matter, They currently have universally the worst marvel movies at launch. Also app doesn't feature Maleficent. You do know it's sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil comes out the very same week that the App launches. wouldn't it be smart for Disney to have the first movie to help promote the sequel? I'm sorry, your argument doesn't logically hold up.

Maleficent didn't exactly receive stellar reviews.

Couldn't it be possible that by releasing prequels that weren't particularly well received potentially damage the profits for their upcoming sequels?

I think Disney has been very strategic about this and has made a wise decision by not including TLJ. It could make TROS perform better. Out of sight, out of mind.

TLJ isnt on Disney+ yet because of streaming licenses granted to Netflix. Hasnt this been said about a dozen times already.

As for Maleficent I have no idea. Yes the 1st didnt get great reviews, but it turned out to be a success and because of that they made a 2nd. So some other entity must have some sort of license for it as well for now.

Agree to disagree. I personally am not in hate TLJ camp (I loved if), but it is possible negative feelings fof TLJ factored into TLJ going to Netflix. The most curious thing is that TFA is not available on Netflix, but TLJ and Solo are.

The contract is prob expired for TFA since line ups come and goes every month. TFA is going on almost 4 years and TLJ is going on almost 2 years while Solo is over a year.

And I'm sure Disney was well aware that TROS would be coming out at the time this license agreement was made. That's what we're discussing.

    Episode IX wasn't a surprise.
