A friend sent me a crazy video last week where he made up lyrics to the Star Wars main theme.

I finally had time to figure out how he made it. It's an app called Ditty. Wasn't that hard. The video has ditty.co in the bottom corner which takes you to the app store.

So, I checked it out today as it's free. It's actually pretty hilarious. They've got a dozen or so SW legacy songs and some from TFA. There's not much to the app. Basically, it just sings whatever you type. The funny part is hearing the app try to sing whatever dumb stuff I type.

But, I have to wonder if they really have rights to use these songs. I've always heard that John Williams is very particular about how his music is used. Do you think Ditty has rights to do this?
