Do you think Leia will use her innate Force powers more in 8 and 9?

At most we will see her reach out to the extent DJ redhead out to Bespin in ESB .

 

this is how i can see her using her FS. she might try to reach Ben.

but they've always kept it low key with her, so it's hard to say. if she does use it, i hope it is subtle.

I'd love to see Leia use some force powers, but I get the feeling Disney doesn't have confidence in Carrie Fisher pulling it off.

Leia was the only OT character in TFA that just felt off to me. Then the whole post-TFA tweets by her about fans criticizing her looks makes me wonder if her hearts in it anymore?

I really think she'll be limited to more of a political role for the ST, although her reunion with Luke could be a powerful scene.

 

I think that they might be setting her up for being a more "mental" force user. I don't see her throwing around any force pushes or the like, but her ability could be used in a more subtle manner.

Therefore, she had the potential herself to become a Jedi. I think age is not a restrictrion. You are never too old to train in the way of the force. I do not expect her swinging a lightsaber but - I don't know- connect with her son through meditation...?

What if she's using the force to manipulate this new senate into being on her side

 

I think if Leia ever use the force it would be something we never seen before. Probably, a power to protect or shield herself from danger. I think it would be more defensive than offensive, though her nature is a realist. But, i think the force we already see in Leia, is her strenght and strategic thinking. This ma'am need no lightsaber to finish her job. Every battles have people working behind the battlefield, planning the winning strategy.

 

As much as I would like her in full Jedi mode, I reckon her use of the Force is subtle. She was strong and stoic, so that is how the Force might show on her. I'd love to see her using it on episodes VIII and IX.

 

What if LEIA is the one who WIPED REY'S mind ?

 

Oh man, that novelization gives me a lot to think about it... lol.

 

It could maybe fit because of the look that Leia gives Rey, like relieved that she survived to be able to go see Luke since she's protecting his kid and all .

 

or "her" kid.

 

Eh...after what happened when she sent her last kid away, I'd think she'd cling onto Rey for her entire life and turn her into An Affluenza case .

 

Well, the TFA novelization actually makes reference to that. (Like she has the same feeling when she sent Ben away with Luke.)
