DO you think there are deleted scenes from Darth Maul ?

    Maul is often referred to as the Boba Fett of the PT, even tho he does sh.it compared to Boba who does absolutely nothing besides dying in the most embarrising way.(vicious)

    So lets go back to TPM, Maul had like 2 long senes and 3 very short ones.
    The scene on the Droid Control Ship (hologram), the coruscant scene with his 2 lines, the short scene in the palast on naboo.

    And his 2 long scenes, the cool tatooine stuff + fight against Qui Gon and the epic Lightsaber duel at the end.

    So my question is do you think there are more scenes that never made the cut? Or at least concept arts ?

    This Character had so much potential and I cant accept the fact that they killed him off at the end of Episode 1 :'(
    He was the perfect villain for this trilogy (sword fighting) combined with Dooku (the Politician) & ofc Palpatine as the puppet master behind the scenes.

    Oh yeah, absolutely. That's pretty much confirmed.

    In fact, Benicio Del Toro was originally slated to play Maul, but left the role because his character got so significantly diminished.

    An extended fight between Maul and Qui gon is the only thing I found so far.

    I heard they shot him much more but didn't want to overpower palpating/sidious as well as anakin's story.

    There's the tone poem from the bonus disc that came with the DVD. "Fear attracks the fearful..." I believe this is the only other Maul-related scene but I'm not sure if the dialogue was specifically recorded for the trailer or if it was dialogue cut from the scene between Sidious and Maul on Coruscant.

    Maul was killed at the end of TPM. I refuse to accept his continued existence and actions.

    EDIT: To stay on topic, IMO leave "live action" Maul as is.

    This image has been floating around forever. I don't know if it's legit, but if it is, then a Obi-Wan vs. Darth Maul on Tatooine scene was filmed, and post-production on the scene went far enough that FX lightsaber animations were added.

    But there are no shadows on the ground beneath them and Maul's double bladed lightsaber wasn't revealed until much later in the movie. Again, that's not proof of anything because maybe they're standing in front of a green screen and maybe the big two-blade reveal was added to the story later.

    Still, it's fun to imagine:)
