"I’ve learned that one of those mystery shows might involve Doctor Aphra. If you’re unfamiliar with her, she’s an insanely-popular character created for the new era of canon Marvel Star Wars comics. It’s not known if it’d be her on solo series, or if she’d be featured in a different series with other characters.

Doctor Aphra worked for Darth Vader in the comics prior to going off on her own, in the post-A New Hope era. She has two really awesome companion droids that are like an evil version of Artoo and Threepio. Think of her as sort of a female Indiana Jones in the Star Wars universe with two homicidal droids backing her up.

With both Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm producing new shows for the Disney+ platform, it actually wouldn’t be surprising if the two come together on a collaboration that brings a character created in Marvel’s Star Was comics to the screen. It would also be a live action version of an original character who still has a very popular on-going comic series."

Now, if this were any other website i.e "We got this covered" I would've said bs. Conrad has history of being right so who knows. It would give comics more value/valdility if that where the case. He does make a point about about Marvel and Lucasfilm working together. Fiege doing a movie as one of 'em.

I really hope this comes to fruition, and a good opportunity to see stories across the Star Wars Universe too - some familiar and also some new, with a morally 'grey' character too :)

I think Aphra should stay in the comics. Any other medium would take away some of wackyness, weirdness and general insanity of her storylines.

I hear you and get where you’re coming from, but Star Wars film and tv really NEED something, as you put it “wacky, weird, and insane.” I feel like the Mandalorian and the Sequels stayed in the realm of expected too much for its own good. Even if they tone done Dr Aphra, this will be the most visually awesome show/movie to even come out of Star Wars.
I am disappointed and saddened how Lucasfilm is choosing to ignore fans by not giving us Aphra in live action. It seems like the biggest no-brainer because that show will give us truckloads of what sells:
1)artifact seeking, similar to TROS holocron and TFA Luke map
    2) strong female lead
    3) echos of a distant past without dedicating fully (they can reference the Old and High Republic, stoke audiences’ appetites for future projects.)
    4) awesome droid characters.
