    Hi all!

Just like it says in the title, why does the FO not have/use TIE Interceptors or Bombers? I'm not complaining, I think the TIE/fo and TIE/sf are all ya need. But, Interceptors and Bombers would be useful, right? Actually, what is the point of an Interceptor? Are the just faster? *shrug*

I look forward to all your input and speculation!

I'm going off of this for my info, btw: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE_line

Apparently not. I’ve never seen a military which only had capital ships. First order has disastrous leadership

Perhaps we didn't see them because there wasn't much use for either. There weren't many x-wings to intercept. Besides Poe how many x-wings were there?
    And his gets destroyed early.
Bombers need something to bomb. Bombers don't work in space against because bombs need gravity to fall. The resistance had almost no ground presence. Their base at the end of both movies didn't have much to bomb.

Yes, found it painful. RJ physics & RJ-Powers were at play.

lol. Just checking. Cuz that was the first time I ever had to stop and think about gravity in a Star Wars film, and then here you are mentioning exactly that!

Yea, you’d think they’d call in ships to surround them. And since they can track hyperspace anyways, track the MF, that ship nobody found on Jakku.

    They were gravity defying bombers.

Now that I think about it, I could have swore earlier in the year during the promotion of TLJ that I saw something about an updated version of the TIE bomber for this film. Guess it didn’t make the final cut?

EDIT: Apparently there was supposed to be an updated version of the TIE bomber on Crait. I don’t recall ever seeing it though amongst the other fighters.

The First Order subscribes to the Sheev Palpatine Rule of Warfare:
Step One: Build the biggest gun you can
Step Two: Put that gun on the biggest ship you can
    Step Three: Destroy Everything! ;)

The Tie Silencer is a new generation of fighter bomber (according to the incredible cross sections of TLJ). Some of the promotional art to TLJ did show some white panelled FO Tie bombers.

    Seriously.

Do you have a link to this info? Sounds interesting.

I ordered that book a long with a few others. They should be arriving on Tuesday! Can't wait!

Now, Vader's TIE Advanced was a fighter/bomber too, right? Was Vader's TIE Advanced one of a kind? Or did other TIE pilots have access to them? The Silencer seems like a one of a kind ship since it has like a code name. *shrug*

I always hoped that the Empire would field the Tie X1 Advanced. They did so in the old EU, I'm not sure if they have been deployed in the EU.

They're building more of them according to the visual dictionary and cross sections.

    RJ Physics?
So you never saw ESB? That's sad. You should. It's a fantastic film. Some even say one of the best.

Why would I care about a ship that can be taken down by one X-Wing and one Bomber? ;-)

This whole star wars thing with its space gravity, explosions, fires and sound in space is completely ridiculous. Most overrated saga in the galaxy.....

Not only space explosions but space gravity! Inconceivable. This new Disney crap is just too much.

I am going to boycot this franchise. I am not going to give them any of my money anymore. I'll throw my 80.000 piece Stardestroyer to bits right away!
