SPECULATION Domhnall Gleeson in TFA

Back in early October I was saying that Luke exiled himself because his son, Gleeson, had fallen to the dark side. Leaks and rumors since then have caused me to change my mind but I still like the idea.

I also sometimes say that maybe Plemons wasn't trying for Boyega's role, but rather the one that went to Gleeson

 

His voice is similar to Anthony Daniels. I wouldn't be surprised if he's playing a new droid. Maybe even a protocol droid.

Maybe the or one of the rumored flashback scenes will be of Plagueis' death ... maybe Plagueis is indeed the hooded figure. I lean on it being Darth Driver but, maybe the figure is limping because he just awakened and would be Plagueis returning after Driver woke him up at his grave. Driver was spotted in a Rebel pilot outfit during a fly over on set, maybe that's where the X-Wing fighters are going, in search of Driver who went missing. He's very interested in the Dark side because, of his relative Count Dooku. It could explain why he'd have a black X-Wing.

I cringe at the clone idea so I hope that is not the case. However being DS's son could be a possibility but I am not a big fan of that concept either. I just hope they don't go to crazy with all the new characters being kids of the OT characters. I could deal with 1, maybe 2 but more than that just seems to contrived.

Anyway. Yes, from the moment he was signed, the coïncidences were just too obvious to ignore.

Clone, no! Young Palps in flashback, inspired. I like it--a LOT. A Palps kills Plagueis holocron would echo the Anakin kills the younglings event (for me, at any rate). More nasty Sith antics shown in retrospect as hologram. It works for me.

Very small part for Gleeson, though I'd imagine. Anyone know what his shooting schedule was like?

I could well imagine Leia, obsessed with her mother's betrayal both professionally and personally, pouring over old recordings of Padme, Anakin and Palpatine, trying to work things out. Perhaps she discovers the recording among Palpatine's records after she becomes 'Leader of the Republic'? Could we see Leia in Palpatine's old chambers on Coruscant shortly after her election, complaining bitterly about how she's never going to be able to get the foul stench out of her new office, and then accidentally stumbling on a compartment or antechamber containing Palp's secret records?

Even better, she is 'drawn' to it as there is something in there that triggers her Force sensitivity....

True but, that is from the novel. Which the time of certain events of the events could have changed for the film.

Not shooting down anyone's theories. I just want to note that 99.9% of all the flashback rumors that appear to be rooted in real connections to the film, were misunderstandings of placeholders in concept art and animatics glance at by various people. On my end of things, which is not comprehensive, everyone has laughed at the notion of flashback sequences.

Don't know why everything seems to be twisted to provide a tenuous link to Plagueis.
Falcon has a new dish... it's rectangular... the old one was circular... the circle was once complete... so now it is incomplete... this must mean PLAGUEIS IS IN THE MOVIE!

 

I think GC and DG could be related. Two pale gingers in one movie? They could even be twins. How close are they in age?
