Double Bladed Rey?

That's something I'd very much like to see! Now we play the waiting game to find out, although it probably won't be until Ep. VIII if it happens.

It would be nice to see a battle between 2 double blades:

 

Nice! In my mind's eye, I always saw her "wearing" green though...

Another thing is, what if she does not go for a double blade but something like the one on @Darth Lexor Kai's review of his Saber Forge blade?

I rather see Rey with a simpler saber. Double, but simple.

I was just thinking that if they wanted to add a new type of saber to the movies, but they already added Kylo's...

I do expect that however it turns out, we will only see it on Ep. VIII...

 

Would be nice to see her wield Luke's saber in 8. until the enevitable hand cut off scene. She's gonna have to if she Vader and Luke bloodline. Then in her full glory of 9 she builds a green double saber

I was wondering if she would have to change her fighting style a bit to use a double bladed lightsaber, that grip looks to me too far apart if she was using something like Darth Maul's, but maybe her handle is just larger, what do you think?

New guess!! : Rey has been carrying a saber embedded in her weapon for many years without knowing it!! Then Luke tell her how to open the saber and use it

 

This just made me think that having a staff-saber would be a nice way to counter the reach advantage that Kylo has with his lightsaber (but not using it like in that picture)...
At least to me, it always felt like Kylo's lightsaber is longer than the regular ones...

 

Kylo’s saber looks exactly like a classical, European long sword for hand-and-a-half of the 15th century. This is quite a change to the Katana origins in the previous films. So I wonder if his fighting style will also be adapted to that period and the European origin.

 

I'm not sure that it will... The shot we got from trailer looked more like he used it as a club almost, just battering the opponent (Finn in the case)...
On the other hand, marketing has him in some cool poses with the lightsaber, like the banner one.


I would like to see something like in this old video about it, but i'm not so sure anymore that Kylo's is as big as the one they use (the hilt in particular):

 

If you look at the current image from Entertainment Weekly in the snow forest, compare the saber’s dimension with Adams Drivers height of nearly 1.90 m (6’ 2½”), you get a sword that is nearly as large and menacing then a medieval two-handed sword.

Although using something like bo-jutsu (as KK stated) and a long staff, Rey would be in for a hell of a fight if trying to counter Kylo’s lightsaber with that (assuming her staff could withstand a single blow).

I also like that some of the Knights of Ren wear helmets matching the swords period and gothic style.

Rey with green double-bladed lightsaber would look great.
It would go great with her green eyes.

Or what if she makes a double-bladed lightsaber from Anakin/Luke blue and Luke's green lightsaber. Blue-green double-bladed lightsaber.

 

Hmm I think she will build her own... It's part of becoming a Jedi...
Also her using the other 2 lightsabers would leave both Finn and Luke without one...
