HUMOR Dream actors to be in STAR WARS

I feel like the key is getting known but not "celebrity" types.
Like, Keanu Reeves or Tom Cruise or The Rock would stick out like sore thumbs in Star Wars. Unless they're a voice or in a costume obscuring them.

And Kaya is a total beaut. Looking forward to her creature feature CRAWL later this summer.

 

I'll only accept it if he's a vagabond who finds Phasma alive and wins her love!

Lakeith Stanfield - Phenomenal actor. PUT HIM IN.

Hannah Quinvilan - I watched Skyscraper last night and I want to see more out of her.

Byron Mann - He was also in Skyscraper (and The Expanse). Again, I'd like to see him soar to even higher heights.

Frankie Adams - I haven't actually watched much of The Expanse, but I really enjoyed the books (haven't read the latest one yet). Frankie plays fan-favorite Roberta "Bobbie" Draper in there. It'd be easy to type-cast her as a soldier or Mandalorian in Star Wars. I'd rather see her as a Sith Warrior (but one who doesn't want to fight. She's simply good at it).

William Catlett - I really enjoy his character in Black Lightning. But instead of being a gangster, I'd like him to be a statesman. We have rarely seen an effective head of state in Star Wars. Let William play the first.

I would had loved to see Klaus Kisnki as a crazy comander of the empire. Unfortunately that's not possible anymore.

Meh, because he has the same sharp cheekbones like Tarkin and Hux!? Imo SW should take risks and not try to cast another Tarkin type over and over again.

 

No. Because he is one of the greatest actor of all time, well, he is my favorite. But, he's dead anyways.

 

IMO he's overrated as an actor. I've seen some of his movies (his English and German movies) and I've never had the feeling he's a great actor. He also liked to overact quite a bit. Furthermore he was a really bad person in real life. I'm glad he will never be in Star Wars.

The funny thing is one of the producers Kinski worked with is now playing a character in "The Mandalorian".

Furthermore it would be really boring if all imperials look the same. In ANH the officers all looked different too.

I don't agree that already famous super-celebrities should have major parts or roles in Star Wars films. They carry too much of their own persona and their roles from other famous films whch can be hugely distracting to the film they are appearing in, even if its just a walk on cameo role. "Oh look, its Patrick Stewart from Star Trek playing the King of Naboo!" These actors can also be accused of bandwagoning a film to prolong their own successful, but decling career ambitions to the harm of the film.

The best "worst" example is Samuel S. Jackson, playing Mace Windu. I never really believed in his portrayal of Mace, as he carried too much baggage from his other roles, especially from Pulp Fiction. Plus, he messed up the established colours of lightsabres by demanding an unnecessary purple blade.

Star Wars characters should be always (if possible) be portayed by newcomers, as these new faces have no lingering sterotypes that would interfere with establishing a believeable character, story and galaxy.

Back around the year 2000 there was a rumor that Leonardo DiCaprio was being considered for the role of Anakin. Seeing the acting chops he has now makes me wish he had been cast in that role back then.

 

Charles Dance would have made a good high ranking Imperial.

 

I agree with this wholeheartedly, but there is one exception I'm willing to make. Rosario Dawson has expressed great interest in portraying Ahsoka in a live action series, and I'm on board with that. Otherwise, I get tired of seeing the same faces on screen time after time, year after year. Cameo appearances are welcome, but major roles should be reserved for up-and-comers.

It's funny you mentioned Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction and the prior acting baggage, because Pulp Fiction is all I can seem to think of when I see him in the prequels. It's not fair to typecast actors like that, I know, but it's a real thing that happens!

 

A film with Karl Urban as a First Order admiral feeling the weight of responsibility of command and for the welfare of his 8000+ crew. Nice song by Nachtmahr to get you in that head space.

Equally a New Republic or Rebellion leader. Anything you put him in he excels at.

Besides Ralph Fiennes (loved his performance in Coriolanus) would be equally suited to an Imperial role.

One of my most favorite TV shows is coming to an end this year- Supernatural. I think everyone of the main cast could make a cool addition to the Star Wars universe.

If Disney wants to do some politics like in the PT. I wouldn't mind seeing Damian Lewis.
