I hope they don’t have to, but I’d rather they did if the alternative was online streaming because theatres were still closed... more optimistically, I have my fingers crossed this could be the big hit everyone will flock to after the victory over the virus!

No doubt. Yeah I'd wait to see it on the big screen, it's going to be a spectacle.

It would probably be safer to say GoT has Dune elements (though I've never seen GoT) as Dune came first. And the mature content of the mini-series comes straight from the books, in fact the adaptation was wholesome in comparison.

Ever since Blade Runner 2049 came out, Denis was my pick for a Knights of the Old Republic trilogy (with Roger Deakins doing the cinematography, of course!). Can’t wait to see what he does with Dune...and maybe he could still do both, Oscar Isaac has!

I'm a fan of the original film from the early 1980's and just recently read the book.
I enjoyed the book about 1000 times more than the film. I almost feel like I need to read
it again in a more comfortable setting so my mind can fully absorb the epicness of the
story and what it might look like. I'm thinking you would have to take Star Wars , Lord Of
The Rings and Mad Max , roll it up into a ball with some drugs , throw it 10,000 years into the
future and see what happens. I can see where it might be a challenge to please an audience
that will consist mostly of Star Wars fans of both generations as well as the Star Trek crowd.
Only this film is going to appeal more to the Star Wars crowd if its going to be any good.

I don't know, that trailer doesn't do much for me. Hopefully the movie is better but the trailer itself just seemed like a bunch of cliches right down to the slowed down Pink Floyd cover.
