SPECULATION Elements that will tie the trilogies together

I agree with that. I would still be surprised if she agreed to do it.

 

I would love to see some places or droids from the Prequel era. I love when the OT/PT aesthetic gets mixed together. The Vader comic exemplifies this.

 

I think Kylos redemption from Luke will tie everything together. I think in a pivotal moment toward the end of the movie Kylo will have a good or bad moment like Vader did. Lukes force ghost will show Kylo why the force created Anakin, his journey into darkness and his redemption, Kylo will see his place in everything, his place as a Skywalker, and his place as a Jedi who will birth a new Jedi Order that will go on for eternity. This will connect all the trilogies together and will break the darksides hold on Kylo.

 

More aliens from the previous trilogies. I don't mind seeing new aliens but they should appear alongside and among those we have already seen. Bonus points if rather than literally any part of any significance being a human mix it up and showcase aliens as more than backdrop characters.

Revisiting a place might be interesting but it needs to be a place of real significance. I don't understand to this day why they chose a second desert world that looks like Tatooine that wasn't Tatooine. It really takes away from a final visit to Tatooine if they wanted to go back.

A second battle on Mustafar might be fun.

 

I think Kylo going to Mustafar to Vader's castle to look for answers and Rey going to Jedha for Kyber or more Jedi knowledge would add ties.

 

Anakin appearance. Perfect way to tie it all together! Sense 1-6 revolves around him.

 

The important word to me is "revisiting", I mean : I would love to come back to an already-known world... but by another way and thru another eyes.
A large city on Dagobah.... an oasis on Tatooine... a dry lake on Coruscant with the skyscrapers line in the sunset horizon... please make us see what we've already seen, but from a different point of view... enlarge our experience

I'm hardly waiting for that force ghost since the broken Vader mask showed in TFA trailers.

An Anakin appearance makes a ton of sense. I just wonder if they’d be brave enough to bring back Hayden Christensen. Are Star Wars fans willing to give him another chance? Or will they somehow bring back the Sebastian Shaw version of Anakin?

 

Imo should be Hayden, Shaw got like 2 mins of screentime where Hayden did 2 films.

 

My fear is that because of the "END OF SKYWALKER SAGA" thingie attached to Episode IX it will become an easter-egg showcase, something that was a serious problem with Solo, Rogue One and to lesser extent The Force Awakens. Sure, this an important part of the film (until Episodes X, XI and XII come out...) but the primary focus of the Sequel Trilogy is telling the story of Rey. This is her tale, not Luke's not Anakin's, not Kylo's but hers. As long as Rey is in the spotlight I'll be fine with whatever else they have in store (unless it's Starkiller Base II, Death Star III, Plague Tetrahedron or something else, because superweapons are BOOOOOORIIIIIIING!!!).

 

If they bring out another superweapon....

 

Perhaps we will have race, we haven't an actual betting race since TPM, maybe we go full circle. Perhaps Rey is stranded on a dessert planet and she has to gamble to afford ship pieces. It does seem weird, she seems to be on a different planet to the falcon.

 

Hmmm. I agree that Rey is a new and important character but even without Anakin on screen he is there. Kylo and Rey are oppositional parallels reflecting his legacy. Kylo seeks to become like Vader and to complete what Vader started. Rey is what Anakin could have been had he not fallen.

The struggle between Rey and Ren is which side of Anakin Skywalker's legacy wins.

 

I’m hoping that instead of a Superweapon we get a big epic Lord of the Rings type battle.

 

Almost anything is better than a super weapon. Almost.

2. doubtful, Plageuis's grave is most likely

3. probably will be a call back to that on the planet where the climax takes place

I think that it will be as follows:

- vader's castle
- rey's true origin
- tattooine/jakku comparisons
- KOR comparions to the SITH WARS
- Luke/Plageuis comparions with the chosen one
- visual comparisons through the entire saga
- I still believe in a Palpatine cameo if Plageuis truly does play a role (maybe he reincarnates into various bodies and snoke was just one body that he has corrupted), but as a sentinel droid like in the new battlefront game
