I might get to playing it.

 

Great I value players feedback when taking on new games as they're accurate.

 

I have it, and I really enjoyed playing it but it did wane for me (it can be lonely piloting a ship through the blackness of space), and I'm terrible at the dog fighting. My son's not that bad though and he also plays... but the game is so huge wouldn't it be almost impossible for us to actually meet up "in game" so to speak?

 

I'll have to get back on it. Multicrew eh? hmmmm, interesting. Do you have the planet landing expansion, and if so, is it worth the money? Cuz if I start playing again, I'll have to get that

 

That looks awesome. When is the PS4 release? I can't find a date!

I'm pretty late to this game but I hadn't even heard of it until about 2 days ago when I accidentally came across a video on Youtube. I'm slowly but surely getting the hang of it but it's hard. I thought that the fact I grew up on PC flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator, Aces Over Europe/The Pacific, X-Wing/TIE Fighter and Wing Commander would prepare me for this but I was wrong. But since the N64 I've only played console flight sims and I'm really rusty at this kind of flying. I watched all the videos, and some others I found on Youtube and did all the training missions and scenarios multiple times. I've probably studied/practiced harder for this game than I did to get my driver's license and I'm still making a fool of myself at docking. I've been fined twice for accidentally fired my guns in a no-fire zone while trying to dock. I also have no clue what is up in this universe: what's going on, who the factions are, etc. Is there any backstory or current story to this game or do you just fly around? I have people making vague mention of an upcoming war with some other faction and a few other things but they mean nothing with no context or even knowing who they're talking about going to war against.

 

I've been playing for about a month now and love it. It's not perfect but in general it's pretty much exactly what I've been looking for in a video game since I first stuck a coin in the old Star Wars arcade game as a kid. And I've really only scratched the surface as I've been mainly running cargo/data with a little bit of bounty hunting/smuggling on the side. There's a lot of traveling time though, I traveled to one space station that was so far from the system's main star that it's an hour and a half super cruise to get there. I just sat back with a book and the controller next to me and read for an hour and a half. I must be getting old because I was like "This is what I call gaming".

 

After 3 weeks of traveling I made it to Sagittarius A* and the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy in my Asp Explorer "Far Star". It will probably take me 2 weeks to get back as I'm not detouring through Colonia this time, so all in all it will have been a 5 week journey but the views on the way into the core and of the supermassive black hole were worth it.
