    The official Star Wars site announced the casting of Emilia Clarke (30) of Game of Thrones fame for Han solo stand-alone movie.

    As of yet untitled Han Solo stand-alone movie, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller is set for release in May, 2018.

    Same here, didn't see that coming, @Bluemilk was worried about the EPVIII drought because of RO suddenly this. I expect she will be needed for a few fight scenes.

    Got to admit I was not hyped to see this spin-off but now Lucasfilm you guys got me intrigued and looking forward to it! Daenerys goes to a galaxy far, far away.

    She is attractive for sure but her acting leaves a bit to be desired. I know my opinion on this might not be very popular but the battle for weakest link in the GoT acting quality is between her and Sophie Turner. Perhaps given a more appropriate role she can better pull it off.

    I wasn't keen on this movie either. It looks like Lucasfilm might know what they're doing with the casting to draw more fans to this movie. I expect a couple of more announcements to be made.

    I was hyped from the beginning, hyped more when Ehrenreich was announced, and yet more when they added Glover. And then this, the casting just keeps getting better, I love it!! She will be great in whatever role she is playing.. I'm gonna guess a rival smuggler who catches Han's eye. Maybe the one that got away before he met his true Princess... oh man I'm so excited!!!

    It is a big marketing strategy to increase the hype for the movie. At least it worked with me - from almost zero to definitely looking forward to watch the movie.
