What do you think will be the ultimate end of the Skywalker saga? Does Kylo/Ben die with a whimper or a bang? Does he live and continue the bloodline?

The Skywalker line started with the Force impregnating Shmi. Does the Force eliminate the line now? Lots of questions and speculation based on how we got here?

The Skywalker's have influenced the galaxy for over 60 years by the time we get to the end of the next film. I'm glad I don't have to figure it out, but my guess is that the line will end gracefully and fittingly.

None of the above. It's not about the Skywalkers. I think it will end with Kylo dominating the Galaxy and a new hope being born to face him in Rian's new trilogy, that's my best guess but we all are always wrong for the most part.

Rey and Ben will balance the Force.
there will be a costly but ultimately successful diplomatic solution for the power struggle in the galaxy.

as @Darth Garth said, it's not about the Skywalkers, but the door will remain open.

I'm not sure how conclusive Episode IX will be.

Consider a situation where Solo falls a little short of box office expectation, but Episode IX rocks the cash register and makes a billion dollars.

Do we really believe Disney won't consider making an Episode X? Would shareholders understand that? It's like Microsoft decides to stop making operating systems and instead focus on more updates to the Bing search engine. I think shareholders would revolt.

That said, I think Rey's arc will come to some sort of satisfying conclusion and I think Kylo is dead meat at the end of IX, if only because he eventually has to "pay" for killing Harrison Ford.

That could leave a galaxy without any Skywalkers, but I'm not sure that prohibits the creation of Episode X.

I like the recent rumors that the outer rim is disenfranchised and exploited in IX and this could continue to allow the trilogy focusing on the Outer Rim to build on that canvas. The "have" and "have not" alignment in the galaxy might replace the "dark" and the "light". We'll see.

But truly, I see a lot of open threads left after IX, if only because the franchise still has so much further to go and many more billions of dollars to make.

The only (for me) Interesting character left is Kylo Ren.If I go and watch this next episode...it will be because I wanna see how things will resolve and end up for that character alone.

Apparently EPIX will be the ending of the Skywalker saga, so a victory by Kylo Ren is very unlikely, but I would love it. Rian btw said that his trilogy has nothing to do with the Skywalkers and Kylo is a Skywalker...

It will either end with balance or with the destruction of all Skywalkers.

A new thread is coming out of the unknown regions and finally Ben pays his prize by using the first order to fight them back and save the known Galaxy.
Well unlikely but That way we could redeem Ben and keep him alive.

I have no hard ideas on what we might actually see, but my guess is that IX ends up mirroring or rhyming TPM, given that TLJ seemed to do that w/ AOTC, ESB, & ROTJ. It would close the “loop” on multiple rings, if you buy into the whole “ring theory” POV. For that reason, my strongest prediction is that it will time jump 10 yrs or so.
