SPECULATION Ep 8 lead character death scene

It's got to be a villain because we're due for one. No major villain died in TFA and we still have 4 of them: Hux, Phasma, Snoke and Kylo.

 

Episode is going to be 'darker'. So naturally I'd say that no villains will die - unless there's a new villain introduced and he/she is killed off by the end of the film.

Also, I have a funny feeling that Luke may die at the end of Episode 8. No proof... just a feeling.

 

I hope a villain dies but it is not the death that makes the heart felt plot twist. I still think that a villain will die and Benicio Del Toro will take his/her place. No evidence just something i hope/think might happen

 

I'm thinking maybe Hux or Phasma since they aren't really big characters.

 

I guess none.

 

Laura Dern. I'm thinking she's in this movie only.

 

Luke. Either in VIII or in IX, I don't see him coming out of this trilogy alive.

 

Although I agree, Luke will not die without "training" a new Jedi. So it depends on how much "training" Rey receives before he dies. Remember when Yoda died all that was left of Luke's training was to confront Vader.

 

Well, the "villains" of Episode 8 who die could be the KoR. I think we're going to lose another "hero"

 

Luke needs to die in this trilogy. I have a feeling it may be in IX, but it needs to happen to move Star Wars forward.

 

Snoke. At the hands of Kylo Ren, who takes his place.

 

I'm pretty sure Leia will bite it in 8. Laura Dern will take her place with some kind of conflict with Poe, perhaps. I think Luke will die, but not until 9.

Also I'm pretty sure, given his amazing abilities to sense a trap, Admiral Ackbar will survive all the movies.

 

Phasma.

 

It's overstuffed with antagonists at this point so some of them need to start dying.

First scene of Episode 8 = Hux brings Kylo to Snoke.... Snoke kills Hux. There, you hear it first here.

If it's a hero probably Poe, because he was supposed to in TFA. If not, then probably a villain most likely Hux.

 

i would say hux- he's quite a minor character and seems fairly unimportant. as time goes on, i realize that they should have killed off han solo in episode VIII, rather than VII. it would have given them time to develop the ben solo/han solo relationship, it would have broken star wars formula (which force awakens quite frankly needed to do more of) and it would have made his death more tragic. also i wanted to see the big three reunited again

 

Hux will be punished horribly for Starkiller.

The first hero to die: none

But they will be in pretty bad shape at the end of the movie.

I will even predict that Poe (who was supposed to die in 7) and Phasma (who had a minor character mostly left on the cutting room floor) will end up characters bigger than nature in 8, thx to the great communication between Abrams & Ryan during 7.

 

I think you would want Leia killed off in a climactic scene where she sacrifices herself to save Rey or Luke, otherwise you have really nowhere impactful to go with her character thanks to the unfortunate rushed and incongruent story writing (just my certain point of view so please don't take it personally) by JJ & LK in TFA that has marginalized to a great extent the possibilities of where you can go with her character* in the rest of the trilogy. RJ has a monumental task of "making things right".

* I would have had Leia as leader of a Recusant faction (not resistance) of the new republic, cruising around the Galaxy in an "appropriated" dreadnaught class star destroyer, cloaked in black with a patch over her eye wrecking havoc to any First Order installations............but I digress and since this will never happen I believe that she needs to go out in a blaze of glory instead of like nice old lady fading in the background of the new generation.
