it sounds better than another rey/kylo end fight....the reylo evidence is mounting so might as well end the trilogy in a wedding ceremony, finn as best man sounds like meme potential that cannot be wasted although i would be open with C3PO or lando.

Snoke+prime jedi+anakin's father+revan reference=ancient fear is the ultimate snoke theory because it ultimately ticks all the boxes for snoke theorists as well as set up a old republic saga or game of thrones type tv series. it also explains everything about TFA as well as end the skywalker saga by having them go up against their father. Ending the story in a web of metaphysical family dynamics. Anakin plays a role as well.

the reintroduction of the imperial remnant-galactic alliance relationship placates legends and worldbuilding critics

the knights of ren/new jedi alliance and working together doubles down on the awesome rey kylo fight scene and dynamic everybody liked as well as end the saga on a high note with the sith and the jedi respecting each-other and not dominating eachother. the first trilogy ended with the sith dead(OT), the prequels ended with the sith victorious, and the third trilogy will end with them shaking hands for now.

Leia force ghost coming in the end with her father and other force ghosts to defeat "the ancient fear" in the netherworld sends leia off by having her wordlessly reconcile with her father...effectively concluding her story arc because she never forgave vader and their interactions were hostile from the start

Poe becoming dealing with responsibility and guilt over leias death abd having him become a politician in the end sound fitting

Luke as the master of both the material and spiritual world means some bendu type powers as well as a lot of dramatic material in the form of him stopping the fight between the knights of ren and jedi. This role can also belong to anakin if one trusts Hayden enough

it's a neat idea, but your story idea is more about what happened in the past instead of what's happening with our current characters.

for example, the only place for Rey in your story is to listen to Luke telling her to work with Kylo, and then for her to marry him. the rest of it is about Revan and the Prime Jedi and stuff that is never talked about in dialog in TLJ or any other Star Wars film.

@master_shaitan has some theories of his own regarding the creation of the Skywalkers and how that all could tie together. however, i disagree with both of you: i doubt the Skywalker source will be discussed in the movie. it doesn't sit well next to one of the core messages from TLJ: that anyone can rise up to be a hero.

I’m actually back in the Plagueis train more than ever. Not because I think it’s what will happen but because I think it should now more than ever.

With Snoke dying, there isn’t really a good space for bringing in his backstory. And even if they did, it would as I have always felt, feel tacked on and a bit too convenient.

I’ve also felt that Snoke just being dropped into the Skywalker story rather than evolving with it, would be a great missed opportunity.

Plagueis created Anakin...Sidious got wind of it...Sidious killed Plagueis (but he had discovered how to regenerate his cells in order to survive what would usually mean death)...he slunk away into the UR and gathered his strength and waited for events to play out...Sidious is killed but so is Vader, his progeny. He seeks out the next best thing, Ben Solo. Etc etc. His death in TLJ however is a stumbling block. Or is it?

If JJ decides to have Snoke be Plagueis then he could also have a means of bringing him back and at the same time explaining who he is, why he looks the way he does and how he cheats death. It also ties in perfectly into the idea of Vader’s legacy, the darkness in Ren etc.

Again, I have strong doubts about whether this will happen but if there is to be an explanation for Snoke, it’s the way I would go rather than some convoluted prime Jedi idea.

It occured to me that most of us probably got it all wrong, including me.
We all expected that Rey is a Skywalker and that a Skywalker must live beyond EP IX.
Maybe the Sequel trilogy is actually a closing chapter for the Skywalker name.

The 3 trilogies chronicle rise and fall of the Skywalker family members (in terms of power), so all the decisions made in TFA and TLJ actually made sense.
If Carrie Fisher lived, her character would probably die in EP IX.
We really won't be getting a closure if Kylo survives EP IX, or it turns out that Rey actually IS a Skywalker.
Because we all would like to know what happens afterward and people would be rooting for more movies and that would never end.

So if you want to close the Skywalker saga, Kylo dies, and no-name-Rey is a new Jedi leader and Jedi Order restorer.

The Skywalker saga can end for good without Kylo diying. => Kylo/Ben breaks the Skywalkers' curse and then he can live in peace without being responsible for the next conflict. Think about it. The Skywalkers are the reason why there is conflict after all.

I think the Skywalkers (in this case the Solos) will live beyond EPIX, but they won't play a role in the next trilogy (if the the next trilogies are even set in the future). That's a satisfying closure to me.

i want the skywalker curse to continue on a mass scale...imagine A Dune like space corporate empire(called the galactic federation of free alliances) subverting democracy that depends on the kyber crystal exports that the skywalkers own. Basically the koch brothers in space but more powerful.

the skywalkers being straight up like niander wallace(blade runner 2049) type people with a god complex

the issue is this....rey is not that well received as a character overall....neither is finn or poe. Might as well drop these characters in token roles and put luke and ben solo in the center of the story....because outside of those 2 you hardly find anyone liking any of the ST characters

Just because a group of hardcore fans is unhappy if them on the Internet (a place where negative emotions spread especially easily,) doesn't mean that they are disliked. Take a look at this list of Hollywood's favourite female characters. Rey is on 14th place, after only TFA was released. Or this piece of news from the end of last year, when Rey was revealed to be no 1 most searched female character on UK's eBay. People love Rey and I'm sure the same holds true for Finn amd Poe as well. The only ones that have some kind of problem with Rey are the ones whose preconceived notions on levels of Force powers are broken by her, which definitely isn't a majority.

I doubt 10% of the US population can name the character in Resident Evil. I certainly can't name her. The fact they have her 4th is a farce.
It's amazing what you can read on the internet.
