    I thing it'll be around TLJ running time which is 2hrs and 32 minutes. If it's longer, it wont be by much, a couple of minutes.

    Let's take a look at the running times of all previous movies:

    TPM - 133 mins
    AOTC - 142 mins
    ROTS - 140 mins

    ANH - 121 mins
    TESB - 124 mins
    ROTJ - 132 mins

    R1 - 133 mins
    SOLO - 135 mins

    TFA - 135 mins
    TLJ - 150 mins
    EPIX - ???


    So everything between 120 and 150 mins I would say. Personally I hope something between 130 and 135 minutes.

    I think there's a very good chance it ends up having the longest runtime to date, but not by much.

    Movies are getting longer, especially big blockbusters, even if they don't need to be, they still are. I do believe that Episode 9 has a story to tell that would do justice to a longer runtime, somewhere between 155-160 minutes.

    I think it will be slightly longer then TFA but shorter than TLJ.

    I'd say 2 hours & 25 minutes.

    I'm putting 155 - 165 minutes with the 160 as the sweet spot. It'll be the longest SW film to date but won't be too close to 3 hours and not too far off from TLJ's 152 minutes. It's going to be a hell of a ride and December can't come anytime sooner!

    Just for fun comparison, The Dark Knight was at 152 minutes while The Dark Knight Rises was at 165 minutes.

    Assuming an average length for a minuet being between 2 and 4 minutes a star wars movie with 280 to 560 minutes would be a great new experience. :rolleyes:

    With the scope of the story that we are hearing this thing is going to be it has to be longer than the usual 120-135 mark. I say at least 150 but probably more like 165. I just hope things are not rushed in an effort to edit things down to a reasonable run time.

    One of the rumours mentioned that it's a big script for a Star Wars movie, so that paired with the fact that there's a lot of stuff to wrap up, makes me think it could edge out TLJ. Not by a lot, though.

    I foresee this movie having two acts...an early act where Kylo is evil, confronted, and turns back to the light. Then act two, where the reborn Ben Solo and Rey have to confront the final, big boss, whoever that is.

    This one will be closer to 3 hours, just a shade under.

    A lot to cover in this final film.
