    So, clearly we’re all big fans of these fantastical movies about crazy creatures, robots, starships and space wizards with their laser swords... and by the end of the year we'll be getting the close out of our 42-year, 9-movie spanning saga (sure, they took a little longer at getting this sussed than Marvel with their 22-films in 11-years, but who’s counting?!).

    However you feel about the direction things have taken, there’s no denying that this is going to be an Event (yes, capitalisation!) that rounds of a series of films which have had a big impact on all of us and, I think, will see some changes in the fan base once the realisation sets in that future screen outings will not feature most of these iconic characters.

    With this in mind I’m keen to mark the Event somehow and wondered if any of you would be interested in stepping out from behind the keyboard for a bit and meeting up to 'do' The Rise of Skywalker with a group of fellow fans?

    I realise that this won’t work for everyone as I’ve noted over the years that there’s a lot of you who have your own SW movie watching traditions, be it with friends, family or just at the same theatre and in the same seat – but I figured that the upcoming film may provide a last excuse for some of us to do something a little different. If it’s about the people, then feel free to bring them along - Cantina members or not! ;)

    Appreciating that Cantina members are flung far and wide, I’d like to suggest an IRL watch party in London as it’s within striking distance for most of the UK members I know of… of course if any of you in Europe and the Nordics fancied a trip this way too then that’d be awesome!

    For now, I’m just looking for interest while I formulate a plan… but there may be some additional things we can ‘add’ to enhance the experience - in fact, let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions!

    Anyway, like I said... no pressure - just an idea, floated several months ahead of release to see what people think. So, what say you?

    Absolutely the Leicester Square Cineworld has a 4DX screen so I’m up for it
    But no actually Enchiladas will e eaten due to the Hot Food & Drink ban in 4DX screenings right :p

    There is a apparently a good Mexican restaurant next to the Odeon Leicester Square so I’m volunteering myself to test it out :p it’s a tough gig but some one has to do it.

    Cineworld works for me (i'm not particularly fond of 4dx, but i will want to see it in all formats regardless lol).

    the food & drink options in the posh Odeon in Leicester Square was a big fat let down for me.. Cineworld MUCH better !

    So I checkout the Mexican place (Photos in the Food Thread) it wasn’t to bad but the portions were a bit small & really for a pre or post Star Wars film I need something a bit more messy like a good Burger or a Burrito :D

    At the moment you can find not book up to the end of December but the 13.30 4dx show on the 28th or 29th works for me.
