Except for Lego which is more popular than ever (don't ask me why, I don't fully understand that either.)

All action figures are down. Kids don't play with them. They want video games and digital content plain and simple.
Toys R Us is closing and it's not just because Star Wars sales are down.
Target, Wal-Mart...all these stores had GIGANTIC toy sections now they are pitiful, rarely fully stocked and mega franchises are lucky to have half of one side of an aisle let alone the entire thing like when I was a kid.
It's a shame because the toys are better now than ever.

Man, I remember when Walmart literally had almost half of one side of their store dedicated to toys.

I hate to sound like some cane-shaking old codger (I'm 26) but it's absolutely true that toy sales aren't what they used to be. I remember posting this once before, but one of my fondest toy memories is when the Attack of the Clones line came out, and I went to the toy section only to find an extremely small selection. A Wal-Mart employee explained to me that I was actually in the overflow section, and led me to another aisle that was all Star Wars, from end to end. No hyperbole at all.

These days, the toy area for Star Wars is actually about the size of that pitiful overflow section I first found, maybe even smaller.

And that really sucks. But obviously it's indicatitive of toy sales, not interest in Star Wars. That argument is just silly and tone deaf.

I have two younger cousins. 10 and 12.
They have 0 interest in action figures.
They want games. They want content on their tablets.
It's just how things are now.

I miss the days of the new toy line coming out and rushing to the store.

    And my wife!

And, to be honest... me, who hadn't cared about Star Wars at all for about five or six years until TFA's release.

Yes! And remember, a story with absolute closure is a bad story. They should always leave openings for future stories and resolutions. I'd love to see what happens to our characters from the sequels after IX and I'd hope they'll take this into account.

That's the production title of EPIX. This already tells us quite a lot about this movie.

Sorry, Typo. I was meaning Dec 2018. So it would be likely to get a teaser in the Holiday season of this year.

I just watched TLJ again, giving myself time to really watch and listen, The Last Hope, Ben Solo, really rang out to me when Rey was confronting Luke.
BUT after TLJ who the hell knows whats going to happen...The Last Hope really feels like things coming full circle. The Skywalker twins were our "New Hope" and now Ben Solo will be our "Last Hope"..... Poetry.

Might have some unfortunate meta implications though. This movie being LFL's "last hope" to get it right.

Episode IX: The Unifying Force would be a good title. The title was used in the EU for a book, just like the title "The Last Jedi" was. And it seems like a good title to wrap up the trilogy.

The issue is about speculating titles is that we are not sure what's gonna happen, so it can be tough to speculate on it
