Episode IX Title Speculation

I feel like the title should not immediately give the plot away, lol, or at least leave some ambiguity.

 

Funny, I had thought : The Fallen Angel, meaning Ren gone to the dark like the devil.

Or just "Chosen One", I'd absolutely love that. It is just as ambiguous as "The Last Jedi" and "The Force Awakens", a title which in any case would requires exegesis and inspire discussion and conversation as soon as the title is released.

Spark of Rebellion?

I also love titles which are intentionally dark, especially for the third piece in a trilogy.

The Rising Dark
Knights of Ren
The Rise of Darkness
The First Order (if there is Stormtrooper rebellion and intrigue between Kylo and Hux in which our heroes will be swept up, this might be the most functional and powerful one)

Or balanced ones:

The Light and Dark
Balance of the Force
The Unifying Force @ObiWanKnowsMe

 

Yeah If the Force is somehow going to found a balance like theories suggest through Rey and Kylo's connection -- then I think The Unifying Force would be a perfect title to wrap up the Sequel Trilogy and hopefully the final End of the Imperials.
A great ending would be a galaxy in ruins but a bright enough spark as New Republic citizens and surviving leaders (perhaps in the outer rim) come together and realize their mistakes that made them fold so quickly. Everyone comes together, Kylo sacrifices himself for the greater good and apologizes to Rey as he slowly fades into death. A new Jedi order begins to form under Rey and perhaps we see a Luke force ghost rest his hand on her shoulder as the credits hit.

Something close to that would be amazing

 

A lLegacy of Hope.

 

I like Balance of the Force. Given we have The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, I think The Balance of the Force would work.

 

It will be fun to read through this thread when the title is released if only to see who was close or got it right

We need to talk about Kylo

 

hmm. I doubt it'll be something like "The Fall of the Last Order" or something that mentions them. It'll most likely be about Rey, or possibly Ren. Could they have the title be about Ren and his knights? If so, maybe it would be "The Rise of the Fallen." Sounds too clunky, though.

How about, "A New Future." Maybe something broad like that.

 

A few pages back I suggested "The Rise of Ren". It has a ring to it I think.

 

anyone thought about LucasFilm actually going for a title that would fit with the first 2 titles ??? Like *The Force Awakens* *The Last Jedi* *?? ??*

 

A lot of people want to have a sentence built by the titles:
The Force Awakens The Last Jedi From The Shadows
The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Knights of the Republic

etc...
