    "The Force Awakens" - just posted on Twitter by the official Star Wars account.¨



    I think I like it as it could mean multiple things.
    I obviously thought about "the force" that we all know. But on second thought, when did that sleep? Not literally, but Luke has been around all the time (and probably a sith lord aswell, maybe not though). We had the rumored title "The Ancient Fear". Maybe this title is still hinting towards that? The force could in this case be The Ancient Fear.

    Maybe I'm taking it too far, but we've got a title!

    Hmmm... It's going to have to grow on me. Kinda blends with A New Hope. But often the titles were more about the light and dark sides. This is in the middle.

    The Ancient Fear and The Force Awakens could mean the same thing.. it could be the "dark side" of the force that awakens

    Initial reaction: I really don't like that title. I didn't even catch on that the announcement was the title - I thought they meant "The Force awakens boys and girls...now we're going to be giving you Ep VII news until you drop."

    Later: Still don't like it :( It's so bland. The Force Awakens. Sounds like a computer game. I don't know. I think the Force has earned a place in a Star Wars movie title, but...how can it awaken? Was it asleep? Will the film feature midichlorians that begin to hammer inside Jedi heads and scream "wake up"?

    Even later: Nope. Dissapointed. This one goes straight to the bottom of the list for me.

    But it doesn't really matter. I love the title The Phantom Menace and that didn't help very much.

    It will grow on us, I promise!

    So the force was sleeping... does this reference Luke's been gone/missing... or the fact that Luke is training new jedi?

    I read somewhere that they had A New Dawn in the mix, but let that be the title to a novel. Personally, I prefer Ancient Fear, but that was a bit negatory when we're supposed to be echoing A New Hope.

    AWAKE I SAY! AWAKE!

    Also, second thing that came to mind is below. I think the drug they used was called daadaa... as in daady or daadaaarth?

    P.S. Whether it fits or not... the word AWAKENS looks and sounds a lot like AWKWARD because it is -- both in speech and writing. Look at the words used in the titles to the OT... so simple and clear. AWAKENS??? RLY?

    Regardless, PUMP IT INTO MY VEINS ALREADY!!! WOOOOT! WE'RE GETTING CLOSER TO THE TRAILER WOOOOOOOOOT

    I like it. It definitely fits in with yesterday's spoilers/rumors that Luke will be in isolation, "hoarding" the force if you will, but, by the end, ready to train new jedi.

    I love it. It's great that they're not including "episode VII" in the full title. It really takes me back to the OT era.

    I love it. 'The Force Awakens' is a far better title than 'The Ancient Fear' and it fits with the established naming convention. I can't wait to see it.

    For 30 years... that's a long time without the Sith and the Jedi battlng it out. The primary force users have been out of action. I get it. "The Franchise Awakens"!

    The Force hasn't been used in any extensive way for 30 years. One Jedi... both Sith gone. Not a lot for the force to do.
