Episode VIII Big Spoiler Dump

I like the aspect of Republic vs Resistance vs First order, but I don't know what I should think about the other things

 

Definitely fake. Rey is the new hero and they wouldn't kill her half-way through the trilogy.

 

It's not that well written, but I would love a dark movie like that.

I don't want Rey to die though. I want Snoke to kill Luke ( Rey's father ) and take possession of his daughter's body. You now have the ultimate villain who could take on 10 Sidious at the same time. Kylo Ren meets Anakin's force ghost, and become a grey jedi. Snoke vs Ben Solo for Episode IX.

Oh yea, and I must stop dreaming.

No way Rey is going to die. After how much JJ set her up to be the new hero, Rian Johnson can't just kill her off. If they do however do that, that would be ballsy.

 

LOL. Complete fake. The republic backs the resistance and all it's fleets got destroyed by the first order. This is canon (mentioned in the film and the book). They are not going to own the First Order and Resistance within a year.

 

A lot of it's probably fake, but there are some specks of truth likely sprinkled into the mix. It's difficult to see Kylo Ren as the overall hero of the story tapping into some new aspect of the force. Rey is the far more likely candidate. However, Rey's story arc means she probably will need to die either literally or metaphorically at some point in order to be "reborn" with the key to defeating the evil at hand, so I very much so can see her death occurring in Episode VIII. The hero's death is a common theme throughout religion, mysticism, and mythology which Star Wars relies heavily upon, and something we see time and again even in modern blockbusters (think Harry Potter needing to die before Voldemort could be defeated). Also, Luke needing to step in and sacrifice himself during a major battle with Snoke makes sense, but if Leia ends up being the only character out of the Big 3 that survives this trilogy AND we never got to see them all together as one big happy family after surviving the original trilogy, then I'll probably start a snarky letter writing campaign aimed at Disney.

No comment on the rest of it, because who knows at this point...though I'm hoping Finn ends up not being force sensitive and proves that a hero doesn't need 'superpowers' just to be a hero. That in itself is a Force for good in the universe.

 

KK said that Rey is the new Luke Skywalker for girls. If anything, she is the least likely to die.
Killing her would be like destroying all the progress made with TFA regarding female characters.

 

Well, here we go again, with the fun fan fiction...

 

Luke "dies" at the beginning of Empire, it's just hard to recognize. He collapses in the cold and for all intensive purposes is dead. It's during this time that he is given the key to finishing his training and ultimately defeating Vader: he must go to the Dagobah system. From there he is reborn in a bacta tank (womb metaphor) and continues forward with his journey. A death does not need to be as literal or final as you are making it out to be...but death and rebirth of the hero is a common occurrence in most hero epics.

 

He should have just killed the Wampa and stayed in the cave...just saying

 

OK that would be the worst movie humankind ever created. It would make Fantastic four look like Blade Runner.
