    Hey, all!

    I thought it would be fun and interesting to see what people could come up with for an opening crawl for Episode VIII. The hard part is writing a crawl for a movie that supposedly starts off right where the last one left off!

    Well, here's my entry. I'm sure others can come up with better ones.


    The galaxy is in crisis! With the capital of the New Republic destroyed, chaos and fear have gripped the remaining systems. The fragile republic has begun to splinter. General Leia Organa struggles to maintain the fledging Resistance to stop the advancement of the sinister First Order.


    Having discovered Luke Skywalker’s location, Supreme Leader Snoke is more determined than ever to rid the galaxy of the last remaining Jedi. He has dispatched his Knights of Ren, led by the deadly Kylo Ren, to destroy Skywalker before he can train his new apprentice.


    Meanwhile, in a far Outer Rim territory, a new evil threatens to destroy the galaxy…

    a funeral in his honor. But among the quests lurks
    an evil presence

    Meanwhile Kylo Ren, and General Hux make way
    to the Supreme Leader. Luke Skywaker must make
    a decision. Remain in solitude, or return home to
    his sister and finish the work he began...

    THE WRATH OF THE DARK SIDE​

    Terror has swept the galaxy. After Rey went to find the elusive Luke Skywalker on the mysterious planet of Ahch-To, the evil FIRST ORDER regrouped in the UNKNOWN REGIONS of space to plan their counter attack against the RESISTANCE.

    Meanwhile, reeling from the destruction of their capital planet and entire fleet, the NEW REPUBLIC seeks to put a stop to the impending war at all costs and has sent a prominent senator to meet General Leia Solo at a secret location.

    Kylo Ren, conflicted after his defeat in battle to Rey, has been ordered by SUPREME LEADER SNOKE to lead a mission that will complete his training and prevent the return of Luke Skywalker forever...​

    Star Wars Episode VIII
    More Questions Than Answers

    It has been 6 hours since Kylo lost some intestines to Chewbacca's
    crossbow. Resistance heroine Rey has finally found Jedi Master
    Luke Skywalker and tells her new master that she
    is madly, deeply in love with his creepy nephew.

    Finn can sense this development using his newly minted force
    abilities and begins a slippery slide into the dark side

    General Leah has a funeral for Han Solo where Lando is nowhere to be found
    because "funerals ain't really his kinda thing, princess."

    Asohka, Ezra and Darth Maul miraculously survive the destruction
    of the Hosnian system by gathering Mynocks together into a
    collective swarm and riding them to safety...     ​
