SPECULATION Episode VIII Theories In One Sentence!

I don't really have much to add at the moment, but that is an angle I can kind of get into. Would make an interesting subplot.

 

Here is mine:

1. Rey will be revealed as Kylo's lost sister or cousin. She's surely Darth Vader's granddaughter.

2. Snoke real identity won't be revealed (it will be an Episode IX issue)

3. Rey's parents are Han and Leia or Luke and unknown woman.

4. Finn will be captured (by Phasma) and tortured (by Kylo or Snoke) to bring Rey to the dark side.

5. Chewbacca will die.

6. Poe Dameron will continue to kick First Order asses with his X-Wing and won't die.

7. Rey will lose to Kylo in a saber battle and she will also lose a limb.

8. Rey will end the film highly conflicted between dark and light.

9. R2-D2 will be destroyed

10. Luke will die, but he will become a force ghost thus he will have a significant part also in IX (but smaller than in VIII)

 

1. Stuff will explode, and stuntmen in Stormtrooper uniforms will go flying backwards from the explosion.

2. Rey's surname will not turn out to be Skywalker or Solo, but rather Antilles or Kenobi.

3. We will see Kylo Ren have at least one nightmare involving his father's death and the memory of his fight with Rey.

4. Lando shows up

5. In conversation with Luke, Rey will express a desire to kill Kylo Ren, and Luke will tell her that that's the Dark Side talking.

6. Finn and Poe disguise themselves as Stormtroopers and go to the First Order's new base of operations for incognito shenanigans.

7. Things go south, and Rey and Luke have to bail them out.

8. They will find the first Jedi Temple. It will be really old looking and have a lot of mysterious carvings on the floors and walls and basicially look like what would have happened if Siddhartha Gautama had been born in another galaxy.

9. But what's this? UH OH, LOOKS LIKE THE KNIGHTS OF REN ARE HERE.

10. Kylo and Rey will fight. Kylo will get the upper hand with his newly acquired pissy Sith powers.

11. Kylo will sow seeds of doubt in Rey's mind.

12. Rey will figure out what he's doing, but have doubts anyway.

13. Kylo and Luke will confront each other.

14. The fact that Luke remains so Zen and chill, even with the memory of what Kylo did to his other students, will annoy Kylo to no end.

15. Luke will sow seeds of doubt in Kylo's mind.

16. Kylo will be too far up his own behind to realize what Luke has done, and so be tremendously conflicted.

 

1. Ep.VIII will start after a time skip that matches the time past in real time between it and ep.VII.

2. Finn will have spent the time skip in his coma, perplexing his doctors as they have healed his wounds and physically he is fine but he still won't wake up, until the start of the film.

3. During the time skip an emergency New Republic Senate will have been established and General Leia or Mon Mothma (depending on whether they think Carrie Fisher has the acting chops to pull it off) has been chosen as their wartime Chancellor.

4. Since the end of TFA the First Order has launched an all out assault/blitzkrieg on the disarrayed NR and is making good progress but has been halted by a core of heavily defended planets.

4. The opening scene will be Rey going through some arduous training on Skellig/Ach To (sp?) but will suddenly change to Rey screaming with despair and hate on some scorched battlefield before revealing Finn waking up out of breath and sweating from this nightmare.

5. Both Rey and Kylo will not be seen for the first half of the film, with the exception of the above scene for the former.

6. We will be introduced to one or two of the Knights of Ren.

7. These KoR may be leading some of the FO fleets or have been dispatched to do so in order to end these planetary sieges.

8. Kylo and Rey will duel but while the former will clearly be beating the latter it will be interrupted by Luke.

9. Luke won't attempt to fight Kylo but instead try to reach him emotionally.

10. Kylo will withdraw due to external factors, e.g. the battle going against the FO.

11. We will see Snoke in flesh on the home world/capital of the FO.

12. We will see Moraband (sp?). Maybe via Kylo.

 

VIII in one sentence: "Everyone dies."

 

seeing some similar trends here. i'll play:

Luke will serve as a mentor only and not engage in any light saber battles. that will not prevent him from being awesome.

Ren will come out of the gate swinging: the meanest Nazi FO lapdog ever. he'll be more focused externally, but internally he'll be corned beef hash.

Rey and Ren will end up in a situation where they are stuck with one another (captured/trapped/something) so that they can infect each other with light-dark sauce. high probability that Ren will start his conversion before the end of the movie.

Poe and Finn will spearhead the Resistance's counterstrike to whatever the FO has launched against them.

Phasma won't suck.

but Hux will be insufferable.​

wishful thinking: Snoke gets snuffed.

3. Kylo attempts to assassinate Snoke but fails, requiring a life support suit like Vader after being injured by Snoke/KOR
4. Snoke reborn a la Voldemort? A ritual performed by the KOR?
5. Captain Phasma is determined to find Finn and terminate him - she's afraid his defection has influenced some of his fellow stormtroopers
6. Benecio del Toro is Thrawn or a character similar to Thrawn
7. Poe is teaching Finn how to fly
8. Rey's mother is revealed but not her father
9. Luke and Leia re-united
10. A cameo by Lando
11. Snoke kidnaps Rey after Kylo's supposed death

 

* Del Toro or whatever his name is will be an ambigous character, the Lando of this trilogy
* Rey will get more clues (visions) but still no resolution
* Snoke is the Vader side of Anakin
* The story will continue to resemble the OT a tad too much
* Phasma will be focused on hunting down Finn. Kinda like Fett>Solo
* The resistance has grown due to the First Order's evil acts
* Finn and Poe become lovers
* Leia makes a carpet of Chewbacca to put in front of the fireplace
* Amidala returns: "You really believed I died because I felt like it? I went into hiding with the THIRD child. Yes Luke and Leia were part of a triplet, the third sibling being Lor San Tekka
* Flashback scene: Luke roasting a sausage over Vader's pyre/open fire
* Rey is the captain of the Falcon
* First Order have developed a new weapon that disintegrates universes

 

Disney will make money.

sounds like a 5 hour film... but still some cool ideas!

 

WAR

9-18 months after the close of TFA
The New Republic has started to make headway after the devastating losses in the Hosnian system
Snoke has dispatched bounty hunters in search of Luke and Rey - Benicio Del Toro is the commander/general assigned to this task force
Luke and Rey are found and an epic battle ensues.
They realize that their time of hiding is over and rejoin the resistance/NR
Finn has become a valuable leader in the resistance. He and Poe are the one-two shot like Han and Luke were
Kylo Ren is antagonistic towards everyone in the FO, and has become even more tempermental and unhinged than in TFA after Snoke has completed his training
Luke urges caution but Leia wants to seize the initiative and finally strike back in a strong way no that they have amassed a fleet and can avenge the Hosnian apocalypse.

Act 1 is the Luke and Rey action...mostly
Act 2 is the fleet and planning, this is where Lando makes an appearance
Act 3 is a two part battle. Luke and Rey versus Kylo, and BDT: and Finn/Poe in the epic space battle, Phasma and Hux

 

BdT will be the Collector ...

 

1 - The jedi code will be changed to please the crowd.

2 - Luke will reveal himself to be the father of all the children with force attributes

3 - There will be a huge dancing with Luke and his children singing 'We the Skywalker will keep our name forever in the Force".

4 - Kylo will join the dancing with force ghost Han ( the jedi code will be also be changed while dead )

5 - Rey will get married with a man who accept to change his name to Skywalker

6 - More dancing.

7 - Credits.

 

I hope you're just being sarcastic .

 

I know the credits came on early while Leia didn't join the dance yet

 

She's probably in a Spice afield tripping out .
