SPECULATION Episode VIII Theories In One Sentence!

It would be like a means to an end but I think the only way of that happening would be if The FO were to have been slowly infiltrating The New Republic for DECADES until things come to a head and they "must" join forces to stop The RESISTANCE and Leia ends up becoming the key to this entire Galactic Conflict of VIII.

 

I like this idea and also think it's true. There has to be a reason Luke went to the first Jedi temple. Finding a way to kill Snoke/prevent him from becoming more powerful sounds very likely considering it was directly after Snoke seduced Kylo. My question is why did he stay there for 15 years? I really don't think he just decided to abandon everything and go into exile. I think he's protecting something that the First Order/Snoke wants.

In Star Wars: Aftermath, which was created specifically to give canonical pre-text to TFA, Palpatine's advisor was asked what the Empire should do to continue Palpatine's legacy. And he said this:

“No Sith remain,” Tashu says. “And the lone Jedi that exists—the son of Anakin Skywalker —possesses an untouchable soul. At least for now. We must instead move toward the dark side. Palpatine felt that the universe beyond the edges of our maps was where his power came from. Over the many years he, with our aid, sent men and women beyond known space. They built labs and communication stations on distant moons, asteroids, out there in the wilds. We must follow them. Retreat from the galaxy. Go out beyond the veil of stars. We must seek the source of the dark side like a man looking for a wellspring of water.”

About 50 pages after, we're introduced to a group called the Acolytes of the Beyond. They are a small group dark side worshipers, obsessed with finding Sith artifacts -- namely Vader's saber. Put two and two together, and it's obvious that they must be well aware of the Empire's efforts to find the "source of the dark side". Their name affirms this. "Acolytes" means a ministry or a group of followers. And "Beyond"? Well, it would make a whole lot of sense if it's the same "beyond" that the Emporer's advisor was talking about -- "Beyond the veil of stars".

So how does this all tie together? I believe that after the fall of the Empire, the Acolytes of the Beyond were banded together with the task of finding the source of the dark side and everything assimilated with it. Since "the son of Anakin Skywalker possesses an untouchable soul.", what would be their next best option? The grandson of Anakin. They, with the help of Snoke, seduced him and made him their leader, as well as recruiting others and ultimately changing their name to the Knights of Ren.

After they successfully seduced Kylo, it was a race between them and Luke to find the source of the dark side, a.k.a the First Jedi temple. It would make sense if that is where the first Jedi were seduced and where the first Sith/the Dark Side were created. I also think that Luke is there to protect something - an artifact of some type - to keep it out of the hands of Snoke/the First Order and prevent them from becoming incredibly powerful.

Up until TFA, the Knights of Ren were trying to find the source of their power, the Dark Side.

A place that Palpatine felt was "beyond the edges of our maps".

What were Kylo/Snoke obsessed with finding throughout the entire movie? A piece of a map that the Empire didn't have. A map that not only leads directly to Luke Skywalker, but also the very source of the Dark Side itself.

 

Yeah, I'd like to see her wield a saber-staff. I can also envision her as a sort of temple guard if she makes it to the next trilogy.

 

1.) Rey will be trained in the ways of the Force by Luke
2.) Finn will be some kind of resistance special forces soldier.
3.) After his defeat on Star Killer will become stronger through his anger of Rey much like Darth Vader became more powerful following his defeat on Mustafar.
4.) Maz will have a bigger role and we will have a glimpse of her force capability.
5.). Snoke's background will not be completely revealed but we will get hinted
6.) Phasma will abandon her post with the first order in fear of being punished for her failure and will seek personal vengeance on Finn
7.) With the destruction of the Republic both the First Order and the Resistance grows in strength and the Galaxy is torn in two.
8.) we will see Luke face Kylo Ren

 

Finn is destined to be a gunner on a x-wing type thing, two man or the falcon.
I think the stage is set for kylo-ren and Rey

I am game for Finn recruiting fellow Stormtroopers who were ripped from their families and brainwashed to fight.

 

i too think Rey and Kylo will have a second round. But I also think Luke will confront his former padawan. Probably won't duel but I expect some dialogue between the two.

 

Rey is going to lose her next bout with Ren. Luke may have to save her. i predict that in doing so, they'll capture Ren and hold him in a Dark Force drunk tank until they can talk some sense to him.

Opens with a spaceship in front of a cool sausage.

Ray & Luke bond over potatoes. Rey decides she's not too fond of potatoes, leaves in search of sausage.

Kylo Ren upgrades his sausage.

New Republic suffers sausage shortages.

People reminisce about the old days when sausage had onion.

Snoke offers all you can eat sausage sizzle. Doesn't mention they're all tofu.

Somebody has a bad feeling about sausage.

Luke decides he is over potatoes, would also like some sausage.

Finn and Poe go in search of tomato sauce, meet Phasma at the shops.

KoR find some bread and bbq some sick sausage, but won't let anyone without a cool hat come to their barbie.

Force ghosts also want in with some sausage, but warn against carbohydrates and condements.


Ok, so its 3:30am...

 

I want to see Luke do some badass stuff with the force.

For instance, I want to see a scene with Luke sitting, Rey standing. A First Order ship (TI fighter?) is coming and Rey's worried and thinks they're doomed. Suddenly the fighter starts taking crazy turns and loops in mid-air, going every which way. Confused, Rey looks at Luke, who remains perfectly still, coldly staring into the distance. After several roundabouts, the TI fighter ultimately crashes into the ground, to which Luke looks up to Rey, and we realize that Luke was manipulating the ship with the force. Without moving a single muscle.

 

When you say "X-Wing Gunner" do you mean like sort of the ARC-170 fighters that were The X-Wing Presecessor ?
