SPECULATION Episode VIII title/trailer Release Schedule?

What If they reveal the Title with the teaser, instead of revealing it seperately from the teaser. That would be an great idea in my opinion.

 

I think they'll do the title name reveal and a first teaser during Celebration 2017. Its the most simple and cost effective way.

 

I think they'll do a small teaser (very small) before Celebration, but I agree with the rest of your schedule.

 

I don't think we will get a teaser until Celebration but I do think we may get a tire before then. TFA's title was dropped with little fanfare in a tweet. I could see the same happening for VIII

 

I think it will be title before and teaser during.
But i really want the title with the first teaser. Something different. It could be the most orgasmic teaser ever.

 

Can someone explain to me the idea going around that the superbowl is somehow a possible date for a teaser? I don't understand the logic.

So Disney is going to spend money in one of the most expensive advert slots in the whole of global TV, on a rival network, for a 30 second teaser? When all they have to do is wait to SWC where people will actually pay to attend/pay to watch the teaser?

 

If episode VIII was still being released in May then using the Super Bowl for a trailer release would make a lot of sense as they would want to maximize the number of general audience eyeballs on it. The first teaser is typically the start of promotion for the movie and @Charlie07 makes great points on why the Super Bowl dies not make sense. I also agree with @LadyMusashi that if Disney is going to promote any of their movies during the SB that it would be one of those two.

 

I'd be alright with a title reveal before Celebration but think it would be awesome to go through the whole VIII panel and then drop the trailer with the title reveal at the end of the trailer. It'd build much more suspense and then get a very huge applause.

First post of mine, so the obligatory "hello, there..."

I think we'll be getting the title next month (February), at the earliest during Super Bowl. Not saying an outright teaser, but a title card flash during such an event could be a smart move (albeit an expensive one).

Talked with my friend last night for a bit. We were discussing the trailer.... what he had to say wasn't shocking.... He said Carrie's death changed a lot of their plans for Celebration. Everything is very, very fluid right now Celebration will be heavily focused on the memory of Carrie Fisher and that they will do a tribute trailer to her as part of it. He says that memorial trailer is already being cut together. There will be some kind of memorial in just about every panel he thinks based on what he is hearing. He did say to expect a lot of behind the scenes type stuff with her during the episode 8 panel. He says that they are altering a lot of what they had planned to do to honor her in the right way. He says that the trailer concepts that he has heard about are being altered as well and may show a bit more of Leah than they originally had intended. He assumed that the title would not be released until the trailer hits.

i think this shuts down those hopeful few still holding out hope for a superbowl teaser.

I think they are just going to wait until Celebration then, unless they really want to attach a teaser to Beauty and the Beast. I don't know why they'd want to do that though.
