A few years ago I created a new Holiday, called Ewok Wednesday. It falls the day before Thanksgiving. I don't know why I associate Thanksgiving with Ewoks, perhaps because Caravan of Courage debuted on or near Thanksgiving 1984. Anyway my yearly tradition involves drinking Moskow Mules while watching Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor. Now that Disney+ has the Ewok cartoons I will incorporate them into my holiday tradition. A couple of Ewok Wednesdays ago I created an ewok Village display for my ewok figures.
I encourage everyone to celebrate everything Ewok today and every Wednesday before Thanksgiving. p8756_p_v10_ab.jpg download (6).jpeg IMG_20191128_002913.jpg IMG_20191127_172628.jpg

I watched Caravan of Courage two weeks ago.
Also started to watch Battle on Endor but I fall asleep!
    Will try to finish tomorrow.

Lol yeah another Ewok Wednesday tradition is falling asleep during battle for Endor. This year I actually finished both, I only had two Moscow Mules, and started binging the Ewok cartoon. I started season 2 today.

Battle for Endor is pretty violent for a kid's movie. Her whole family gets mudered the first five minutes. It kind of makes caravan of courage pointless. Endor is a tough place, makes mos Eisley look like Disneyland.

read that comic where the stormtrooper recounts the tale of how evil ewoks are and how they are basically gremlins with bows
or maybe it was a book
    anyway this was the quote
“I've seen the holo-thrillers, and those directors should admit they're paid to tell New Republic lies. They make those things- those Ewoks- look cute, like stuffed toys. I was there, Miss Towani. They weren't anything close to cute.

The first wave of troopers died with arrows through the gaps of their armor. The indigenes were primitive, but later I read about the bows they'd used, how they were engineered for immense leverage. I saw troopers falling with arrows that had gone completely through their throats. They were the lucky ones- some of our men took what looked like minor wounds, and minutes later they were clawing their helmets off and gasping for air. The abos had dipped their arrows in some kind of nerve toxin that paralyzed every muscle in the body. Troopers who got hit suffocated because their lungs wouldn't work. I saw dying men staring at the sun, trying to blink.

Some of our men chased the indigenes into the woods and fell into hidden pits lined with stakes fixed in the ground. Scout Troopers flew into trip wires that broke their necks. Elsewhere the indigenes overpowered troopers through sheer numbers, holding them down until they got their helmets off and other abos could kill them with stone axes and knives made of volcanic glass.

And every time one of our men fell, the indigenes had another blaster. They knew every tree and rock, and they picked us off one by one.

You look like you don't believe me, but I was there. I saw what those Ewoks did. The historians love to talk about alleged Imperial atrocities, but what about what I saw on the Forest Moon? They slaughtered us like animals, Miss Towani. Shouldn't that count as an atrocity?

    - Taken from Hume Tarl, survivor of the Battle of Endor”

So i already have my sights set for this year's Ewok Wednesday. Im skipping Halloween this year, being on a monday. I'm trying to come up with a signature drink for the occasion, something that screams endor.
Olga's cantina has a drink called the Yub Nub, which is basically rum punch with passionfruit. Pineapple malibu, captain morgan, citrus juices, passionfruit puree. It's great and all, but I wouldn't associate the drink with ewoks or Endor. Id call something like that a shoretrooper captain, with the captain morgan.

My idea is my traditional Moscow Mule, but with cranberry and rosemary flavors and garnish.
2oz Vodka or gin, 2 oz cranberry, sprig of rosemary, muddle, shake strain, add ginger beer, garnish with cranberries and rosemary.
I'm not much of a gin fan but I think the juniper, would compliment the rosemary, and give it a woodsy taste. Call it the Endor Mule.
    Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Another drink, to break away from the Mule, is spiked apple cider. Aged Rum or whiskey, for the woody flavor, apple cider, rosemary/thyme simple syrup, just a splash of Fireball whiskey, garnished with apple slice and rosemary.

Call it an Endor Forest fire.

Yub nub my cantina Woks! Today is Ewok Wednesday, the day we celebrate Ewok culture. I'd like to think Ewok culture should be remembered everyday. Of course I watched the Andor finale, which was incredible, the day will not be overshadowed.
The drink I chose this year was the JungleBird. Which is Dark Rum, pineapple juice, Campari, lime juice, Demarara syrup. It's not bad.
As always watching the Ewok movies/cartoons getting drunk AF.
    BE EASY AND YUB NUB!
