I know this is really premature to ask about this, but I know that Lucasfilm turned down the requests of seven kids to be extras in Star Wars VII for Make-a-wish. (I know this because my oldest son was one of those seven kids.) I don't want to get his hopes up, but I told him about the new movie planned tonight. Does anyone know if this film would be filmed in the UK? Do you think Lucasfilm might be more willing to have a child extra in a spin-off than in the regular trilogy? My oldest son is 9 now, so if they film next year, he'd be 10. I just don't want to get his hopes up and then have them dashed again like this time around.

I do know that the first spinoff IS filming in London -- Pinewood -- and will begin Principal Photography next year. I couldn't even guess as to why Disney refused a Make-A-Wish of this kind if they could have a Force For Change winner do the exact same thing. I would recommend writing a letter to Disney expressing your disappointment about the situation and see if that brings them to their senses.

Also, I would continue to try with M-A-W as well. But I would start both of those projects ASAP as planning for the movie is surely underway. At least if they know this far in advance they (Disney/LFL) might be better prepared to host your son.
